Ouch
Today, in my karate dojo, I was being taught how to fall properly. My sensei instructed us not to fall with our hands out because it could sprain our wrists. As I was getting ready to help demonstrate a backwards break fall, I actually fell over. Guess where my hands went. FML

That awkward moment when your instinct betrays you. :/

I don't get this. Isn't the point that you sacrifice your hands/wrists to save the more important parts of your body? Still, that sucks OP.

Our SeFu said that repetition100 times is standard to learn any new move.

Oooh :/ Guess you just have to keep practising until you can do it when you actually need to. I know the feeling, though. Good luck, OP! And hey, at least it wasn't a front breakfall that you screwed up. Faces generally don't like floors.

I know that feeling. Suddenly I wonder if you're part of AKS.

Don't worry about it too much, OP. It's an instinctive reaction.

In P.E I was taught the same thing. It's ok though, it's hard to fight against your reflexes, I hope you didn't hurt your wrists too bad!
