Today, I had to lie to my dentist about how often I brush my teeth. I honestly don't remember the last time I did. FML

That's really, really gross. My five year old sister knows to brush her teeth every day. That's just ridiculous, and completely unhygienic of you, OP. Dental health equates to overall health, you really should work on the whole dental hygiene thing.

As a dental professional, I can tell you honestly, you only have to brush the ones you want to keep. Your dentist only sees you for 5 minutes, and believe me, we know if you're lying or not. But it's not our mouth, not our pain and not our money. Do what you want, but they aint going to brush or floss themselves. Good luck w that. Who wants to kiss that mouth and get that bacteria having a party in his mouth?! Ewww....I bet your hygienist loves you, gives them something to do.

i didn't have flouride i my water when I was a baby so I had four cavities. I lost all those teth though so now I have a perfect smile. but flossing every day can add 3 years to your life. no joke.

That's absolutely disgusting. My boyfriend used to not brush his teeth until I found out and refused to kiss him. I'm still disgusted that I was kissing him all that time without knowing XP

I've never brushed my teeth regularly. When I was a kid, I would brush like 2 times a year. My parents didn't care. I've only been to the dentist once in my life and that was 18 years ago. I still have my teeth, they don't hurt, they don't look nasty, they aren't discolored, and I don't have bad breath. I've tried to make a habit out of brushing my teeth in the last couple of years. I usually brush for a few days in a row and then forget for a month or two...
