Today, my 18-year-old boyfriend freaked out and kept asking me if I was sure I wouldn't get pregnant, because I forgot to take my birth control pill last night. We didn't actually have sex; he apparently thought me simply missing the pill would magically get me pregnant. The hell? FML

If you had sex this week it's possible. Sperm lives in the body for a lot longer than you'd expect.

Sex education was lost on this poor soul

It is still very possible to get pregnant while on birth control. That's why it's recommended that you use the pill and a condom.

I hope for your sake he is good looking or big in the pants.

Sex Ed classes can do wonders.

I feel bad for all of you commenting. Sperm can live up to a week inside her. No hope for this country

Most pills prevent ovulation, unless she's very unlucky and that short dip in the hormones the pill provides causes her to release an egg then it shouldn't matter, there's nothing to fertilise. That said it's best not to take a risk, that's how babies are made!

Sperm can live in your body for up to a week, he is actually has a right to freak out.

I find this remarkable--- Scandinavians are reputed to be so much more sophisticated in such matters.

Freaking out for the wrong reason aside, an unplanned pregnancy is near the top of every guys fear list, so I can see why the thought of you missing a pill freaked him out.

well technically you can still get pregnant because sperm can live inside you for three days.
