Nice timing

Today, I went to my grandfather's funeral. As I stood there, bawling my eyes out, my aunt came over and put her arm around me. She leaned her head close to mine. I assumed she was going to say something comforting. Instead she asked where I'd bought my shoes from. FML

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

Same thing different taste

Shit, at least she didn't say something like "He never really liked you, you know." Sorry about your grandpa.

So where'd you buy them?

YDI for having nice shoes

F your grandpa's life for dying. He should be the one typing this: "Today, I died. FML" This was a really stupid one...

how odd. people do grieve in different ways.

you have an awesome aunt! but YDI for being such a baby. she probably asked that to get you to STFU and stop embarrassing the family.

that's probably her way of dealing with grief - distracting herself by having normal conversations with other people. that being said, she should have been sensitive enough to realize you were in the mood for comfort, not small talk.

This is terrible.
