Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my 10-year-old niece asked me how to spell "embarrassing." I confidently spelled it out. She giggled and said, "No, that's wrong." She was right, and to make matters a tad ironic, I'd just finished bragging about winning a spelling bee back in middle school. FML
Today, I found myself arguing with a 6-year-old over a game of tag. FML
Today, I got into an argument with a 7 year old. He said that Obama was the 44th President, I said he was the 42nd. Guess who was right. FML
Today, the kids I teach informed me that I had spelled my name incorrectly on the board. I looked at it and assured them that I had spelled it correctly. I'm 22 and a graduate student, they're six and mentally challenged. Guess who was right? FML
Today, my niece, who is fifteen, convinced my six-year-old daughter that her name is spelled C-U-N-T, and just pronounced as Catherine. FML
Today, my seven-year-old niece gave me a birthday card. Only she'd spelled my name as ‘Jenny.’ When I told her it was spelled with an i instead of a y, she cried. FML
Today, trying to be nice, I asked my little sister how school was. She burst into a temper tantrum and screamed at me to fuck off. She's eight. FML
Today, I was reading a picture storybook to a kindergarten kid. She could pronounce more words than me, and corrected me. I'm about triple her age. FML
Today, my nine-year-old niece found my coloring book that features swear words. I took it away and hid it in a different spot. No less than an hour later, her younger sister found it. FML
Today, while home from college for the weekend, my sister started whining about how I keep using "big fancy college words" and making her feel bad. My sister is 27 and teaches elementary school. The word I used was "ludicrous." FML

Whomever said "twenty six" -- assuming you're talking about the basic Latin, English alphabet, anyway. Some foreign (even Latin-based) languages have more or (in rare cases, I think) fewer letters. An example of this is Spanish, which tends to count all of 'ch', 'll', and 'ñ' as letters in the alphabet, even though they're not basic, single Latin characters. Non-Latin based languages can have *vastly* higher numbers of letters/characters to deal with, such as Asian languages.

Just so you know the Italian alphabet has less letters than the standard English. They don't use the letter K J W X or Y

What country, Elbonia? Your confidence in something you are "sure", is as pathetic as his knowledge of his alphabet.
