Little shit

Today, my son asked for candy at a supermarket checkout. I said no. He laid on the floor and began screaming as if I'd killed his pet rabbit. Other parents nodded at me in silent sympathy, while strangers judged me with their glares. I bought the candy. He still screamed. FML

All you’re doing is teaching him that if he makes a scene, he will get what he wants.

It doesn't matter how tired you are, you can't give in to his tantrums. Pick him up and take him out of the store until he calms down.

African kids will never dare

I don't even have kids but I know this was the wrong thing to do. NEVER give into a tantrum. It's just teaching him that if he causes a scene, he'll get what he wants. When he does that, take him outside and to the car. When I was that age, if I acted like that, my parents took me to the car and spanked me. And they didn't get me what I wanted, either. Be a parent. Say no to these power trips.
