Today, I was asked to take care of my 3 year-old little brother. After 15 minutes of him screaming and me trying to keep him entertained, he started throwing his toy cars at me. He hit me in the mouth, and I started to bleed. My parents yelled at me for "not controlling him." FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I had to take my little brother to the pool. He acted like a brat the whole time, and when I told him we were leaving, he ran away, slipped, and hit his face on the tile floor. He told my dad and step-mom I punched him. They believed him, and I'm grounded for two months. FML
Today, my little brother was feeling like the god damned bratty douchebag he is and hurled a basketball at me. It missed, hit the wall, and rebounded straight into his face. He burst into tears, and I'm now grounded because my parents believed him when he said I threw it at him. FML
Today, my little brother came into my room and hit me over the head with his baseball bat. He then dropped the bat onto my floor and ran crying into my mother's room proclaiming I stole his bat and beat him with it for fun. FML
Today, I yelled at my oldest son for picking his little brother up by the throat. Only to then be yelled at my my mother-in-law for hurting his feelings. FML
Today, I was at the mall with my little brother. I saw him touching some expensive objects, so I slapped his arm. I noticed he wasn't my brother when he started crying and his real mom slapped me in the face. FML
Today, I came home from work to my 4-year old daughter cussing left and right. I asked her about it; she said that her brother had taught her some words. When I confronted him about the situation, he kicked my shin and screamed, "Stop treating me like a fucking child!" He's 5. FML
Today, I asked my 2 year old son to clean up his toys. When I bent down to give him a good job kiss afterwards, he punched me in the nose. FML
Today, I was babysitting my niece and let her watch cartoons on YouTube while I cooked dinner. She screamed as I was cutting up carrots and I cut myself. She had turned on an episode of Happy Tree Friends and was now crying and wouldn't stop. My brother thumped me for not watching her. I now have a cut hand and black eye. FML
Today, after getting my appendix taken out, we had to drive over five sets of railroad tracks. Then, my four year-old brother decided to punch me in the stomach because, "I took away his mommy for two days." FML
Today, my little brother grabbed my boobs and wouldn't let go until I pried his hands off. When I told my mom, her response was, "Get over it. He's a little kid who doesn't know any better." He's 14 years-old. FML

If you're old enough to babysit and the kid is 3 it's not like there is real sibling rivalry going on. You should in fact be able to control a small child unless you are like 10 years old or mind numbingly stupid. A quick sharp tone and a verbal warning goes a long way with kids, so yes your parents are in fact correct you possess the ability to control him and have nothing to whine about, which I'm assuming you did if you a) only watched him for 15 minutes and were b) reprimanded for your failures

if you were babysitting and didnt have the common sense to take the toy away, then ydi if your parents were home then they obviously cant control him and make you do it

i eel your pain. im 13 and watch my nephews all the time. today the 2 year old hit me n he head with a toy nicrophone and left a bump i put him in time out for a while and listed to music. he was so close to falling asleep wen i walked in....sigh lol

When a kid you're babysitting is being a brat, you don't try to entertain them, you DISCIPLINE them. And your parents made a mistake in blaming you, they obviously don't control him enough either or he'd know that he gets punished if he's being bad.
