Today, I found out that I've been using a "Trick Scale" that my family bought to boost my self esteem so I'd think I was losing weight. I found this out at my physical, where I learned I have actually gained ten pounds. FML
Today, I found out that I've been pronouncing "quinoa" wrong for years. FML
Today, I was mistaken for an 8th grader because of my height. I'm 32 years-old. FML
Today, I learned that I've been saying a word wrong my whole life and all my friends have been too polite to correct me, when I found out that "Segue" and "Segway" are pronounced the same. FML
Today, stepping on a scale for the first time in years, I had to lift up my stomach to see the number. FML

I think you are right. In Spanish, which has a strong Latin influence, libra (lb) means pound as well. Same as onza (oz) which means ounces. Just saying.

Seriously because this one American makes a mistake, a bunch of people generalize it as a whole entire country of America is stupid... And I'm sure he's not stupid, he made one humorous mistake. So just saying those people commenting about "stupid America" it's irritating and to be honest it's pretty ignorant of you to largely over generalize like that.

I completely understand! One of my teachers said "limbs" at one time so I thought that's how you said it. It wasn't until highschool that I was corrected for the first time.
