Keep it to yourself
Today, while waiting in line at a store, a toddler behind me was throwing a major meltdown while his father yelled at him, giving me a migraine. I turned to the woman behind me and said, "Can you believe this kid? I feel sorry for his mother." Turns out the woman was his mother. FML

the mother was probably embarrassed and distressed. hopefully it's not a daily occurrence.

It's like how they do in some tv shows where the person is asked weather they are related to the embarrassing one and they say no :/ it's sad

Eh, I don't hate kids; I'd just be the one stomping on their toes while standing in line at a store, tossing them across a few parked cars, throwing them into a pen full of angry cats, or explaining to them why I'm close to smacking their faces after I've been answering the same question they've been asking for the past 10 minutes. But, of course, I don't hate them.

YDI people like you need to mind your own. People like you irritate the holy hell out of me have you ever thought to stop and think hey mom and dad are people and they get frustrated just like you! And think hey maybe junior is tired, over stimulated, hungry, sick, etc. Children throw fits especially young kids they have a hard time coping they don't develop that skill til they are 12! So next time shut the hell up mind your business and check out! Parents don't need judgmental jerks like you making snide comments especially since YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE A PARENT IT IS A FULL TIME JOB WITH BREAKS ONLY ARRIVING IN A BLUE MOON!

How is it ANYONE'S fault that, as you put it, "TO BE A PARENT IT IS A FULL TIME JOB WITH BREAKS ONLY ARRIVING IN A BLUE MOON," except the fault of the parents? Hey, you decided to have kids -- no one else -- so you get the good things along with the consequences. This means accepting that you have "A FULL TIME JOB" (are you implying your child is a burden???) for 18+ years. That is not to be used as an excuse for poor parenting. It also doesn't allow you to inflict pain and stress on innocent bystanders. If there are two of you and the child won't calm down, for god's sake please take your offspring out of the store until it stops screaming.

If you knew having kids was going to be a headache, then why, pray tell, did you have them in the first place?

Good! The mother should know how bothersome her brat is.

You don't know what it's like to be a parent. She was probably exhausted and knows the best way with a "meltdown" from a toddler is to ignore it till they're done and address it there or here's a crazy idea knew junior would calm down when they were away from the hustle bustle because *gasp* the kid was overwhelmed or god forbids it tired. People like you and OP need to mind your business kept your traps shut and check out

I hate people like you. just because some one is in line next to you doesn't mean they want to hear your whining.

Just because you're in line next to someone doesn't mean you want to hear their child squalling.

Sorry OP YDI. I work with a large retailer and can't stand people making comments about other peoples' children. I'm not a parent yet but I can see it's not easy for them. What do you want them to do, gaffer tape their mouth shut and tie their hands?

two parents vs one child with a tantrum. The solution seems simple. Pick that child up and get it away from people. It can scream and have his tantrum in the car with one parent while the other one finishes shopping. Oh the joys of being a parent.

Haha I do that all the time. hate kids!

Doesn't sound like OP has kids. If so, you'd think they could deal with a kid throwing a tantrum in the store.

I have kids and don't like tantrums either.,
