Today, I'm waiting to be examined thanks to a clitoral abscess. It burst yesterday and has now shrunk to nothing, so the doctor will probably dismiss me again. This is the eighth time in five months, and no one will take me seriously. I'm in agony. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, after three months of wait, I expected to have a diagnosis and treatment plan from my doctor. Instead, I got an appointment with a surgeon "just to be sure", and an appointment with a GP to get referrals to two other doctors for more appointments. Meanwhile, my health gets worse and worse. FML
Today, I have been dealing with painful lymphedema and I'd finally got a doctor's appointment, but they called and cancelled last minute. Here's to another week being in pain… FML
Today, I was diagnosed with a severe bladder infection that has left me in excruciating pain. A month ago, I had an ovarian cyst rupture. A few weeks before that, I badly sprained my elbow. Before that, I had the flu. I think my body is mutinying one organ system at a time. FML
Today, my finally figuring out what the hell is wrong with my body has coincided with the local clinic closing for the weekend. I can't get referrals until they open again. Only three long, boring, miserable days and three long, agonizing, sleepless nights to go. And probably more even after. FML
Today, I have a severe infection. The last doctor I saw was in the ER and he gave me antibiotics ineffective against what I have, and sent me home. The doctor before that gave me a dose of antibiotics you’d give a toddler, so they didn’t work either. It has spread to my kidneys and I should’ve been admitted to hospital. FML
Today, I was lucky to have an extremely attractive doctor operating on me. This would have been great had he not been removing a foreign object from my vagina after an ill-fated masturbation session. FML
Today, I awoke with a swollen, painful testicle. I called the ambulance and went to the hospital. After they'd done an ultrasound, it's a bad infection. My nurse was someone I used to know and had a major crush on. She's responsible for checking my testicle every 20 minutes when she checks my heart rate. FML
Today, my doctor called with my test results, which seem to tell him that there's absolutely nothing wrong with me. I'm still sitting here with an appendage that I'd swear was dispensing napalm, but now I have a $500 bill to go with it. FML
Today, I waited months for a specialist doctor’s appointment, only to find out that it's the same guy I already saw for the same problem years ago, who was at his wit's end after seeing nothing wrong on the x-ray, and had no clue as to what might be causing my pain. FML
Today, I was supposed to be enjoying a long-anticipated, desperately needed, weekend away. Turns out those "little stomach twinges" were actually symptoms of appendicitis. I'm stuck in the hospital, alone, recovering from surgery, while my family is enjoying our non-refundable break. FML

Next time the abscess erupts, take a photo, and upload to your electronic patient portal if you have signed up. Include a note to the doctor and this should expedite the next consult. Good luck and hope you get it treated!

Yiiikes im sorry to hear that it must be unimaginably painful. Next time it happens, go to urgent care. If you have good health insurance and it won’t be too costly (or you’re not American), head to the ER. You could also try switching physicians to one who will hopefully listen to. And take a photo like the other poster said. Good luck!

I feel your pain more than I care to admit. I suffer from something very similar location wise. My last one was terrible; 4 antibiotics and pain meds over a two week period. The bacteria was resistant to 3 of the antibiotics. I agree with the other comments about taking a photo/video for hard proof. My suggestion would be to take a q-tip or other cotton swab and collect a sample of the infection. Save and take to an immediate care facility or whatever is available to you and tell them to run cultures on it.

Unless your doctor(s) are brain dead or honestly assholes, how can they diniss you that may times? Also, have you not tried a different clinic? I mean, if you have the time and money, go somewhere else.
