Today, like every other day, I didn't stop at the stop sign right before my house because it's pointless and there's never any cops patrolling my neighborhood. Boy, was I wrong this time. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I accidentally ran a stop sign. It wouldn't have been so bad if the stop sign hadn't been in a traffic cop's hands. FML
Today, I was driving down a completely empty street when a cop pulled me over for no reason at all. When he approached my window, I began to get defensive until he informed me I was driving the wrong way down a one way street. FML
Today, I thought I'd be safe by looking before crossing a one way street unlike I normally do. Too bad I looked the wrong way and didn't see the car that hit me. FML
Today, I was driving a little over the speed limit, when I saw a cop car waiting to join the road ahead of me. I quickly hit the brakes so they wouldn't have a payday with me. I hit the brakes too hard, lost control and almost ended up on someone's lawn. FML
Today, a cop pulled me over because there was a sign hidden behind a tree that said "No left turn". As I was getting my ticket, I watched as three cars turned left. The cop saw them, laughed, and said, "I guess you're the unlucky one." FML
Today, I was driving home from work when I saw a cop come up behind me. Nervous about my expired license, I kept checking in my rear view mirror. In turn since I wasn't paying attention, I ran a stop sign. Needless to say the cop pulled me over and gave me 2 tickets. FML
Today, I learned that making an illegal U-turn right after you see a cop doing one will not stop said cop from ticketing you. FML
Today, I pulled up to the stoplight near my house. It was dark with no traffic and the car behind me kept edging closer and closer to me. I finally got fed up with waiting and the car and ran it. In fact, it was a cop and he was trying to read my license plate because the back light was out. FML
Today, I was on my way home when I saw a cop hiding behind a Budget truck. I immediately slowed down and prayed that he wouldn't give me a ticket. Then I realized I was walking. FML
Today, while driving home after the legal curfew, I narrowly avoided a police roadblock and backtracked a mile to drive home another way. I then ran out of gas a mile away from my house. FML

You're an idiot. You're lucky it was the cops who stopped you, and not another car. That's how fatal accidents happen OP.

Most accidents occur close to home because you feel so comfortable and don't pay as much attention.

At least do a rolling stop. Blowing past a stop sign is reckless and dangerous not only to yourself, but towards others as well.

Maybe do a complete ******* stop and not break the law at all.

For someone who just had an accident because the other person wasn't abiding the rules i say served you right....you're lucky it was just a patrol and not some pedestrian you ran into...

As someone who has job responsibilities in a parking lot, and has to deal with people like you almost hitting them on a daily basis, I hope you got a nice ticket

Oh, so you're one of those assholes that has on a number of occasions nearly missed taking off the front of my car, or almost rundown my brother when he was crossing the street. But of course the rules don't apply to you, just everyone else. YDI!

I created an account just to make this comment. A few years ago my uncle was killed by someone running a stop sign. Both cars rolled. He was not only killed instantly but his funeral had to be closed casket due to him no longer looking recognizable. He left behind two small children. The man who chose to run the stop sign (which was something he had always done) wasn't even injured. I have zero respect for someone who chooses to do this because "it's pointless." I hope you never kill someone because choosing to do something so reckless and irresponsible can destroy lives.
