Good one, lady

Today, while walking to work, I accidentally dropped my $400 cell phone on the sidewalk. The screen shattered into a million pieces. A woman passing by looked at the ruined phone and said, "Now that's what you call a dropped call!" She laughed and kept walking. FML

Pat this woman on the back for making a joke! Then feel free to punch her in the face.

Did you pick up all of the 1-million pieces? or can you just count that quickly and accurately?

People really spend $400 on a cell phone?

I drop my iPhone often and it usually ends up fine! except for the one time on tile.. even then just a cracked screen and everything still worked!

it's funny that you care more about the lady being optimistic, instead of trying to find a replacement phone. you didn't deserve it, but this isn't really a fml.

Expensive phone is dumb for a couple reasons but FYL. And kudos to that woman!!!

I'm sorry to sound like a douche, but that's exactly the kind of thing I would have said. Either that or, "You know, I don't think you're supposed to do that."

You know, I have never in my life gotten a phone that cost anything, let alone $400. I have had 3 perfectly good free-with-plan phones, and I have dropped them repeatedly, thrown them across the room, and I've never had anything break. The only thing that even remotely affected any of them was when i was at a beach with really fine sand on a super windy day, you can still feel that there is sand in every tiny seam on that one. but anyway. my phone does everything I want it to, and i'm not glued to it 24/7 like some people i know. So, pretty much I think I'm better off.
