Today, I found out that I have at least stage 3 cancer. I went on my insurance's website to get information for the doctors. I also saw "Other people who have been on your plan." My ex-wife was listed, with a new last name. She got remarried. I'm just going to let the cancer take me at this point. FML

She was already your ex, there’s no point in giving up on life just because she got remarried

If you can kick cancer’s ass, you can find someone who makes you forget all about that sack of shit you were married to.

It doesn't state anything wrong that his X-wife did. They got divorced and she got remarried and moved on with her life. I wish OP all the best and quick and permanent recovery, but no need to badmouth his X.

I disagree. Spite is a hell of a motivator.

Take her off your plan, and then she is out of your life. There are some really good survival rates nowadays, so I wish you all the best.

I am a cancer survivor myself (in remission for 6 years now). Cancer is no longer an automatic death sentence. Do what your doctors tell you to do to beat the cancer… Don’t obsess over an ex - That’s ancient history now. You will be needing support and help now from family and friends in dealing with your diagnosis. You might also need to seen a therapist or mental health professional.
