Today, one of our store's beach balls came out of nowhere and whacked me in the back of my head. I started reaming out two young girls for playing in the store, even when they said it wasn't them. Soon after, one of my employees admitted that it was her. I made some 7-year-olds cry and it wasn't them. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I smacked my kid on top of the head for spinning the display rack while I was looking at greeting cards. It wasn't until he dramatically screamed and dropped to the floor wailing that I realized he wasn't my daughter. FML
Today, as I worked as a cashier, two girls came up laughing. I smiled as I rang them up, asking what had made them laugh so hard. One looked me dead in the face and said, "You." They then both walked away, laughing. FML
Today, I was at work serving customers at the checkout. A girl was brushing the floor behind me. I turned around and whichever way she brushed, the brush hit me twice straight in the balls before she noticed anything. She had to serve the rest of the customers while I recovered. FML
Today, I got sent home from work after a customer's daughter kicked me in the balls because her order was wrong. She was 6 years-old. FML
Today, I stopped two little boys from spitting over a railing at the piano player two floors below in the department store I work at. Their mom complained to my boss about me. FML
Today, a kid got his hand stuck inside my store's giant gumball machine. He started crying, and his negligent trainwreck of a mom bitched me out for being "unobservant." I'd been mopping up the mess she'd made after she'd spilled an open can of beer all over the floor. FML
Today, I was at a store trying to buy a birthday gift for my niece when I knocked over a stack of porcelain dolls. As they crashed to the floor, a security guard rushed over, but before I could apologize, I heard a tiny voice behind me: “YOU’RE NOT MY REAL DAD!” It was just another prank by my mortified son, but it was too late to stop people glaring at me. FML
Today, I was dining out with friends. I saw a mom instructing her young child to go to empty tables and take whatever cash had been left. I discreetly told the manager. He confronted the woman and pointed right at me. As she was being thrown out, she tossed a very heavy mug at my head. It hit me. FML
Today, my 6 year-old daughter got mad at me for not buying her yet another expensive doll. I had to pull her away, and she started screaming for help. The next thing I know, another shopper puts me in a chokehold and calls for security, all while my daughter smirks. FML
Today, I went shopping with my two sons and my wife. We got separated after a while, and I spotted my son in the video game section of the store. I snuck up behind him and playfully slapped him on the back of the head. The kid turned around and it wasn't my son. His mom was none to happy. FML

Tss, kids lie all the time and they need to be taught a lesson once in a while. This time, they learned that you're a jerk and life is unfair. Next time they enter the store, maybe you can appologize.

OP:it probably felt like a little tap on your back? you didn't have to make them cry, did you? don't blame kids for everything, you were a kid once and you wouldn't like it too if a random shopkeeper scolds you for something you didn't do.

...Seriously? So if your child was playing on a playground, and someone else's child hit him/her, you wouldn't reprimand that other child? I feel sorry for your offspring. I agree... kids usually are the ones doing it. How was the OP supposed to know it wasn't them when the employee who was actually chucking merchandise around didn't step up?

No because it isn't my place to reprimand them. I would just lead my children to another place to play and tell the parent of the child who hit mine what he/she did. I might say something to the child if I knew him/her but not if its a child I didn't know. I wouldn't want someone doing it to my kid. I would rather deal with him/her myself than a stranger. The OP had no proof it was the kids who did it. Its awful that kids (no matter if they are young or teenagers) get blamed for everything.

I agreee that you shouldn't scold another person's child, but I've been in a situation where some little kid hit my brother and I told the parent. Guess what she said? "I don't give a Sh&% he probably deserved it." Not even joking about this.

she was doing her job....normally if you look at a situation like that, a child will be messing around....i know im 19 and i still throw stuff when i go to walmart and places...im just a kid at heart.
