Today, I had an appointment to pull some wisdom teeth. I wrote the wrong time in my calendar. Showed up an hour late and they didn't pull the one tooth that actually hurts. Now I've got the pay for the time I was late, plus wait until November to pull the rest. I waited 5 months for this appointment due to the coronavirus. FML

Today, I had to go to the dentist to get 11 cavities filled. I took a wrong turn and ended up being 10 minutes late. My dentist told I had to reschedule because of his "10 minute policy." I have to wait 14 days now to get my cavities filled. FML

Today, I had a dentist appointment and was running late. I frantically put on my shoes and rushed out of the house. When I arrived at the dentist’s office, they told me I was scheduled for a root canal, not a cleaning. I forgot to confirm the appointment. After I sat down in the chair, I tried to back out, but they were already numbing my gums. FML
Today, I arrived 10 minutes early to my orthodontist's office to get my braces off. It turns out my appointment was actually one hour earlier, and now the next available appointment is in four weeks. FML
Today, I was being driven to get my wisdom teeth removed and I was panicking all the way there. When we got to the office, I was told that I'd been brought in on the wrong day, and that I have to do this all over again tomorrow. FML
Today, I went to the dentist to get a tooth pulled. When I woke up I found out they pulled the wrong one. FML
Today, I left work early because I had a dentist appointment. I got to the clinic, checked in, and sat down. Ten minutes later, the receptionist asked why I was there. My appointment is next Wednesday. I had taken the afternoon off for nothing. FML
Today, I got a root canal. It wouldn't have been that bad if the dentist hadn't performed it on the wrong tooth. FML
Today, I canceled my dental check-up because I'm getting busy at work. Then, as I was flossing, my finger slipped, I heard a "crunch" from one of my fillings, and I now have a killer toothache. It's costing me double to go to the dentist because it's now an emergency call. FML
Today, it was the fourth time I've had major dental work done, because my dentist messed up my root canal. After almost a dozen needles, three missed work days, over $1,000, and 2 broken tools, I only have a tiny, barely-successful filling to show for it. FML

Late or not, they should have had records of which tooth to pull. If they did and still pulled the wrong one, pretty sure you shouldn't have to pay for it.

He had several teeth to pull. They probably didn’t have time to pull all of them because of him being late. It’s just bad luck that the one that was really hurting him wasn’t pulled that day.

who says this one didn't? The dentist I work for has notification about appointments sent out through SMS, and you would be surprised about how many people still do not bother to come, or at least notify us they won't be coming. Not to mention, at least here in Czech people are always complaining about the lack of dentists or how far the appointment times are - if you want to have your teeth in order, it's YOUR job to remember the times for your appointments.

Need to take better care of your teeth. No one should need that many pulled unless they dont bother to even do minimal maintenance. Shouldve had wisdom teeth pulled before they got impacted
