Today, a teacher told me in all seriousness that she believes my son, who has severe learning difficulties, is likely demonically possessed. I'm sorry, but what century are we living in? Now I have to get him moved to another school so he doesn't have to be in the care of this nutjob. FML

Today, I was told by my teacher that she had 'given up' teaching me because someone had told her I have a mental illness, and that I don't understand what she says. FML
Today, my fanatical Christian stepfather told me that my genetic illness is a result of demon possession, and that I'd be cured if I allow his church to perform a "healing prayer demon expulsion" on me. FML
Today, a parent of one of the students I teach called me to complain that I was teaching her child "lies" and "fairytales". I was teaching them about the Holocaust. FML
Today, while assisting my kindergartener with distance learning, it became apparent what an incompetent bumbling mess his teacher is. In-person learning resumes next week, and I'm terrified to leave my child in a classroom with this man. FML
Today, a licensed child psychologist with 20 years of experience threw my son out after his first appointment, with the immortal line, “You must be taking the piss, there’s a church in town, you’re gonna need their help more than mine.” He’s probably right. FML
Today, after all my years of teaching, I may have met the most ignorant sack of sentient excrement on the planet. A man came into the office demanding his son be transferred out of my class because he can’t be an "alpha" if he’s being taught by a woman (read that as "bitch"). FML
Today, a student told me to fuck off. I work with 3 year-olds. FML
Today, my wife announced that she wants to pull our son out of school and homeschool him, because the “liberals” made schools into indoctrination centers that teach children to be, and accept, “gay pedophiles” and other “woke-ass bullshit.” Sometimes I ask myself what I saw in this lunatic lady. FML
Today, I had a babysitting job. When I got there, the parents were rushing out the door and told me they'd left instructions for the kids on the table. The first bullet point stated that the oldest was convinced she is possessed by the devil, but just to ignore it. Three more hours to go. FML
Today, my mom admitted to me that, when I was a baby, my grandmother kidnapped me and took me to the priest to perform an exorcism, because she swore I was the "spawn of Satan." FML

It's absolutely ok to get someone fired for their views if their views impact how they teach and how they treat their students. A teacher at my school was recently fired for constantly pushing 9/11 conspiracies, atheism, and subtle homophobia on his students (nothing wrong with atheism, but just like religion, you shouldn't force it on your students).

I was once failed because I was romantically involved with a woman. The teacher saw me give a peck goodbye ON THE CHEEK. I wasn't disrespectful or pushing my sexual preferences at all, she was just anti-homosexual. I had to go to a neighboring teacher if I needed help with the material, I also went to them before having my grade assigned for my assignments to see if what I did was correct or worth the grades she gave me. This was a physics class, so it involved mathematics and actual equations. All my correct work would be labeled wrong with numerous illogical excuses. When going to the school board as multiple teachers recommended, they simply sent me to a lower class rather than another AP physics... mind my language but that was complete bullshit. I was basically denied a college credit because of my sexual orientation.

Does he have to be moved school or can you get him moved to a different class with a hopefully saner teacher? It would be less disruptive for you and your son. Also, I'm sorry that even in this day and age there are still people so ignorant as that teacher.

Where I live, there's only one special ed class in each school. So, depending on the size of the school, that might not be possible.
