Dog whisperer
Today, my new dog broke out of his new crate, ate my door, pissed on the floor, and trashed my room. I got him to help with my anxiety, but all he does is give me more anxiety. The worst part is that I adopted him as a favor to a friend, because she couldn’t handle him. FML

I applaud you for trying to help, but typically dogs that are that difficult to handle (have to be rehomed) are not good for helping anxiety.

you got a difficult dog to help with your anxiety, hmmm... if you don't want to give it up I'd suggest getting professional help with training it. either option will unfortunately probably still lead to elevated anxiety in the short term

Why did you adopt such a bad dog? You do have easily gone to the Humane Society or SPCA and adopted a sweet one for next to nothing.

He's in a new place with a new person. My brother is a vet and he recommends Perfect Puppy in 7 Days by Sophia Yin. Try it even if he's not a puppy. Training is important and leads to happier, healthier dogs.

I can't help but say YDI You knew the dog was high maintenance and hard to handle going in and took it anyway

try CBD oil. For you and the pup.

sounds like it needs a. lot of training which you obviously have no idea on how to do.

I mean you definitely knew his attitude before hand, knew he was going to need work. It sucks but you need to find your pets with compatibility not just cause yknow?
