Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I went to buy some Ibuprofen and got asked for ID. You have to be over 16 to buy it. I'm 25. FML
Today, while buying drinks, the cashier immediately refused me and said, “Don’t even bother showing me your ID, you’re obviously 12." I’m 31. FML
Today, I got refused a Red Bull because I didn't have my ID on me and you have to be over 16 to legally buy one. I'm 26 and was paying for petrol for the car that I was going to drive away in. FML
Today, I went to see a movie. While buying tickets, the girl behind the counter asked to show my ID card to proof I'm at least 16 years old. Not wanting to make a drama, I showed it. She took a look at it and declared it as fake. That ID is real and I'm 24. FML
Today, I tried to buy a bottle of wine from the supermarket. The scrawny, acne-ridden kid at the checkout asked to see my ID. I didn't have any on me, since I'm 37 years old and didn't expect to be asked stupid questions. I complained to his manager, only to be asked to leave. FML
Today, I went to buy some beer using my fake ID, when the cute cashier and I started flirting. When he asked me how old I was, I said without thinking, "Nineteen." FML
Today, I was asked for ID to purchase decorative scissors. I was buying them to make my wedding decorations. FML
Today my job started requiring all transactions regarding cigarettes or alcohol to have the ID scanned before proceeding. There is no way yo bypass this function. I carded a 60 year-old man and his 40 year-old son who both yelled at me for 10 minutes. FML
Today, I tried buying a video game that was rated "M - for mature". The Cashier told me "you have to be 17 to buy this game". I didn't have any ID on me. I'm 25. FML
Today, I bought a small bottle of liquor to share with my husband to celebrate our move. It took three hours at the store as the cashier, manager, GM, and a police officer checked my ID believing it was fake. I'm 25. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?
Thanks, your FML was submitted, and will appear in the moderation queue soon!

You won't be saying "FML" if you were to accidentally kill yourself with those spoons.

The cashier could've had a traumatic experience with a teaspoon. Something like: He/she was grabbing a teaspoon, but it fell towards the ground. In all haste the cashier tried to grab the spoon out of the air, but it failed and in stead he/she stepped on the tablespoon. The pain caused the cashier to jump up and fall down on her chihuahua, who is now crushed. All because of that wretched tablespoon.

They had to make sure you're old enough for heroin.

I totally thought that to myself. Lol I just created an account to tell you that. Hilarious. Wonder if he bought a "rig" too?

Everyone knows of the famed Jack the Ripper, but there is a lesser now, yet just as deadly fiend, Thadeus the Spooner, who still to this day is stirring up trouble and remains at large.

I got carded for trying to buy eggs once. I guess there had been several houses getting egged around the time and that was their way of preventing it from continuing.

Makes me wonder what the cashiers must be thinking.

Is it legal to card for something that is not a controlled substance?

Sometimes police send these things down and you just do it to stop the hassle. And no it is not illegal to ID for non-age restricted products.

Who knows..? You might try to commit the slowest murder with the most inefficient weapon.
