Today, my friend and I wanted to get some alcohol (we're under 21). We went to a liquor store and asked a random guy to go in and buy us some vodka. After giving him $20, he said he had to go turn off his car, then he'd get us the drinks. He got in his car and drove off, with my $20. FML

Today, when I went to the gas station to buy beer, some underage punk outside asked me to buy him booze. I told him to get bent, but the dumbass cashier had seen me talking to him, and refused to let me buy alcohol because, "This is obviously a sting." FML
Today, I asked a guy if he could buy me a pack of cigarettes, since I'm still under 18. He took my money, went into the supermarket, and must have slipped out a side-entrance, because he never came back. FML
Today, I was waiting in the car while my mom went into a store to get beer. A few minutes later, some guy was knocking on my window, telling me to open the door. I started cursing him out, thinking I was getting attacked. Turns out he worked there and was putting the beer in the car. FML
Today, I bought a small bottle of liquor to share with my husband to celebrate our move. It took three hours at the store as the cashier, manager, GM, and a police officer checked my ID believing it was fake. I'm 25. FML
Today, I was at a bar with a friend. A guy came up to me, took my drink and drank it. I laughed and jokingly said "now, you have to buy me a drink." He said "I would rather buy your friend a drink." FML
Today, my now ex-boyfriend called me from jail, expecting me to bail him out. He'd tried to buy a load of booze at the liquor store and came up short by ten cents. The cashier refused to be short-changed, and he figured the only reasonable reaction was to punch her in the face. FML
Today, my friends and I went out for drinks. I'm the only one who's actually 21 or over, and they have fake IDs. Not only was I the only one to be carded, the bartender thought that my actual ID was fake. I got kicked out while my friends kept drinking. FML
Today, I went out drinking with my friends. At the end of the night I got a cab ride home. I must have passed out because when I woke up I wasn’t at my place, but my parent’s house, which is the address on my license…120 miles away. The fare was $220. FML
Today, I went to buy beer underage for a party to impress a girl. I picked up the case of beer and went to the cashier, he ran it through without asking for ID. I left the store with a smirk on my face, I arrived at the party and showed the case to the girl. It was non-alcoholic. FML
Today, I finally turned 21, so my friends and I decided to go to a club. There, I met this hot waitress and we were really hitting it off. I ordered a drink. She replied, "No problem, kiddo." FML

I'd do the same thing, just to show you a lesson - don't f*cking drink until you're of legal age. I don't care if it's too high of a limit; too many of my friends have been put into situations where they were underage, drunk and taken advantage of in one way or another, then whined about it. If you don't put yourself into the situation, then you won't get into trouble. PERIOD.

LOL, if you want to drink underage get someone you know, not some random **** sucker, he could be a serial Killer and you dont know it, or a rapist. SO dont do that again unless u have someone u know and trust. YDI

as an addition to my comment (44)...I know people over the age of 21 still get into these situations, but at least they aren't doing something illegal and can take the proper legal steps to go after the person who wronged them. When you're underage and something like that happens, you might not be able to take all the proper legal measures, as you were doing something wrong in the first place.

I've done that so many times for so many different things and I'm not even legal age yet. People in my town assume I am for some reason, so I just take their money and leave. It's funny because they can't just go to the cops and say "I gave her $15 for smokes and she stole it!" because they'd get in trouble for trying to buy them in the first place. In a few months I'll be of age, and even then I won't buy for someone that's underage. I really don't feel like getting caught and paying out my ass just to get some teeny-boppers a few coolers. That was definitely a YDI moment. 100%
