Today, I said to my man, "You used to tell me you love me, but lately you don’t even want me telling you." He responded with a story about his clogged shower drain and then couldn’t understand why I got upset, because apparently this was his “reply to the question I asked.” WTF? FML

Today, my boyfriend accused me of making an FML about him. I let him know that if I were going to make an FML, it would be about how he doesn’t flush the toilet after he uses it. He responded by not flushing the toilet again this morning. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend I loved him. His response? "Is that why you have been so clingy and annoying lately?" FML
Today, I told my man I was feeling a lack of emotional closeness and dialogue in our relationship. I'd hoped for a comeback like, "So what do you need in order to change that?" Or even, "Aw, come here, let's cuddle!" Instead, I got a simple, "I don't." FML
Today, I was feeling really down, so I texted my boyfriend and asked him to tell me why he loves me, thinking he would cheer me up. His response? "Don't bug me with this stupid shit anymore. You always ask such dumb questions." FML
Today, I was complaining to my boyfriend about our excessive water bill. He then says, "Don't look at me, I don't even shower." FML
Today, I flushed the toilet while my boyfriend was showering. He responded by throwing a huge fit, saying how if he “gets a cold” from being “forced” to shower in cold water, I’m gonna “have to stay home and take care of him until he’s better.” FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He replied by telling me to fuck off. FML
Today, my husband thinks I don’t love him. Why? Because I won’t poop with him in the room. FML
Today, I asked my husband how much he loved me and he refused to answer, because he was convinced I was using some unfair logic to start an argument, simply because I wanted to argue over something, anything. I later realised he was probably right. I’m an awful person. FML
Today, my fiancé yelled at me after I got off the phone with my friends, because I said I hadn't felt this happy and hadn't laughed this much in a long time. He was also mad that I didn't cook him dinner. He didn't ask me to cook dinner for him. He then told me to go somewhere else if I'm not happy with him. FML

I can think of a few possible explanations for this… (1) Your BF is having hearing problems or OP is having problems being understood… (2) OP has gotten clingy and insecure and that’s bothering BF but he doesn’t know how to address that… (3) Your relationship is not in good health and maybe he wants out but doesn’t know how to express this… OP, it sounds like you and BF are overdue for clearing up your communications issues. It might be as simple as him not understanding what you meant or as messy as him being tired of OP’s insecurities or even that BF actually wants out of the relationship. Unfortunately insecurity can create a relationship crisis but so can a loss of interest or unwillingness to discuss relationship issues. Try to treat this as a misunderstanding to be cleared up rather than a crisis. Be calm and not accusatory and simply try to come to an understanding of what is going on. There is a good chance this is not a serious relationship issue.
