Today, I was walking down the street when I saw a cute dog. I reached down to pet it, but it snarled then bit me. As I was walking away, I saw the owner of the dog, who was laughing and filming the whole thing on his shitty cellphone. I hope the video isn't out there on TikTok or whatever. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I was walking in the park with my girlfriend, when out of nowhere, I was savaged and brutally humped into submission by a massive Great Dane. Not only did my girlfriend watch it all, but the dog's owner took the time to snap a few pictures with his phone. Neither bothered to help me. FML
Today, as I was walking my dog, some self-righteous animal activist berated me on how it was animal abuse to put my dog on a leash. Despite warning her, she crouched down to undo it, my dog charged at her, giving her a gash on the cheek. She kicked my dog for it, and is now threatening to sue me. FML
Today, I was at Petsmart with my puppy. Someone tried to pet him. I tried to warn the guy that he is a rescue and doesn't trust easily. He didn't listen and now wants to sue me for a dog bite that didn't even break the skin. FML
Today, a dog attacked me. Its owner, instead of apologizing and helping me, said it was my own fault for making it think I was an attacker by running past them. We were on a jogging track. FML
Today, I took my dog for a walk. He started crapping on someone's lawn, then I noticed that the owner was outside and giving me a death stare. Not knowing what to do, I picked up the crap with my bare hands. The man started laughing at me. FML
Today, I was playing with my dog, teasing her, to cheer myself up after being dumped by my girlfriend. My dog bit me hard and I had to go to hospital. The dog has to be put down. FML
Today, I found a lost dog and called the owner. When he arrived, I thought it would be cute to put the dog down so he would run back into his owner's arms, like in movies. As soon as I put the dog down, it ran away again. FML
Today, I got mugged while walking my dog. He seemed to be OK with it. FML
Today, my neighbor's dog came to visit and I tried to bring him back home like I usually do. Only this time, when I grabbed the dog's collar, they zapped him! And it zapped me! My teeth still hurt! FML
Today, I saw a dog trying to attack a man. I have experience working with aggressive dogs, so I pulled the dog off him and got it under control. The man punched me in the face for not having my dog on a leash. It wasn't my dog. I don't even own a dog. FML

Reaching out to pet a strange dog is ill-advised. Ask the owners permission, let the dog sniff your hand, and if the dog growls, back off. That said, if you weren't being aggressive or intending to cause harm, the owner may still be liable for your injuries.

As much as you shouldn't be reaching out to pet animals that you don't know, that owner should have been a responsible pet owner and had a muzzle for that dog. I've got a dog myself. He's one of those aggressive little ankle biter chihuahua mixes, and his face is super tiny. I still managed to find a muzzle to fit even him and he wears it when i take him outside for walks, so that dog owner has no excuse.

yesss! my little Zoey girl also has one. she's a chihuahua papillon mix she's an aggressive little bean on the hikes 🤣 even though she's having the time of her life, it's like the trails need to be empty for her to be on full chill mode 🤣
