Alexa, play "Cars" by Gary Numan
Today, I ran a stop sign that was completely obscured by foliage, in a city I was unfamiliar with. A city bus then T-boned me. My car is now totalled, and I’m afraid this will now go to court. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I missed my bus to school, so I took my bike. The bus that I missed ignored a stop sign on its way back, making me crash into it. FML
Today, I was T-boned while going through an intersection. The guy who hit me accused me of not using my turn signal. I was going straight. FML
Today, I totaled my car, because I mistook the leaves blowing across the road for a child. I swerved and hit a tree. The home owner wants to sue for "harming his tree" and hospital wants to test my mental stability. FML
Today, I ran to catch the night bus which passes every hour, when it unexpectedly passed its stop and turned right. I ran faster, only to trip on a roadwork sign and scrape both knees on the half-rebuilt road, ruining my new yoga pants in the process. FML
Today, I was T-boned at an intersection. In an ambulance. On the way to the hospital after being T-boned at an intersection. FML
Today, I was taking the bus home from work. I went to pull the cord to request a stop when the driver slammed on the breaks to avoid running a red light, causing me to get thrown out of my seat and slide down the aisle and hit my head on a pole by the front of the bus. FML
Today, I was involved in a car accident. I wasn't the driver of either car. I happened to be a passerby that was hit by a falling stop sign as a car hit it. FML
Today, I got rear-ended at a stop sign on a seldom used road in my neighborhood. As I open my car door to trade insurance information with the guy, he backs up a little and speeds away, taking my car door with him. FML
Today, I got t-boned while on my way represent myself in a deposition for a lawsuit I filed against my neighbor. The other driver was my neighbor's husband. FML
Today, I lost control of my vehicle while driving. The car went off the road, rolled over, and ended up being totaled. The policeman asked me if I was alright and I said I was. He seemed relieved at my answer. Then he handed me a $300 ticket for failing to maintain my lane. FML

Take a zillion pictures of the obscured sign, and sue the city for negligence. In court, you might be able to get some legal... ...wait on it... ...re-leaf.

If you just say you pine for justice, they'll be in the palm of your hand and root for you, and don't bark about the potential loss of life and limb.

Agreed but make sure you don’t act like a beech

You got so many puns in and it took me 10 minutes to come up with mine. 😂

Thank you! Punning is one of my superpowers. I'm just waiting for the comic book industry to discover me and create a franchise around me.😂😂😂

Your life sucks but at the same time the intersection was not obscured. The stop sign was. If there is no traffic light at an intersection then one of the directions if not all four has a stop sign. The fact you can't see any is reason to slow down while approaching the intersection.

Yes and no... If the other stop signs weren't visible easily from his vantage point, it's a covered stop sign. I don't have to stop at an intersection if there's no sign on my side but there is on the others, but I do slow down. It's not illegal to go through and if you don't see a sign, it's completely correct to assume the cross section does.

I wasn't talking legally was talking alive or dead. He got lucky. I'd rather yield right of way to someone else than die.

without any signpost indicating priority, as you always have to give way to the right. OP doesnt state if the bus tboned him from the left or from the right, but without any signs you should always slow down to a velocity alowwing you to quickly come to a full stop.

Gonna have to sue the city. Take pics of the corner with the foliage obscuring the sign ASAP.

Well, the bad news is that if it's a city bus, you're definitely going to court.

Congratulations! You're getting a new car and some spending money! If you took lots of good pictures of the "completely obscured" stop sign. If you didn't, the city has probably fixed the problem by now and you're completely screwed.
