Today, my grandmother patched up my $300, vintage, limited edition, designer jeans because she thought I'd accidentally ripped them. FML

well thats what you get for buying $300 jeans.

Maybe now you can reflect on how absurd it is to spend $300 on Jeans that are ripped, simply because they are "trendy"...

I live in a big city. I shell out $240 monthly for public transport just to get to my company. It takes me 3 hours daily. With a car, it would take me a hour per day minutes tops. public transport is not the answer to everything

1) your gran is a lovely gal. 2) buy a pair of jeans and let your car drag them as you drive. They'll be cheaper, trendy, and one of a kind

I do the same as #25. it's easy to get jeans for $100 and rip them from living life

So? It's not that hard to undo sewing, especially if it wasn't professionally done. Get some tiny scissors or a razor or seam-ripper and carefully cut out the stitches. Not an FML, just a mild annoyance.

YDI for blowing 300Cs for already ripped jeans. You know, Ripped jeans are very easy to make and they cost far less than $300...even $1 . All you need is a pair of plain jeans and a razor blade to rip and cut away at the legs of the pants and You got yourself a lovely one-of-a-kind pair of ripped rocker pants. Sit on this idea, OP. ;)
