Today, my grandmother patched up my $300, vintage, limited edition, designer jeans because she thought I'd accidentally ripped them. FML

well thats what you get for buying $300 jeans.

Maybe now you can reflect on how absurd it is to spend $300 on Jeans that are ripped, simply because they are "trendy"...

Well, that was actually really sweet of her. :) you can just rip the stitching out. If you use an actual seam ripper, it shouldn't leave a scar on the jeans!

Hold up, I forgot to comment on how ridiculous of a price $300 is. WOW.

Well now there even more one of a kind

U are ******* stupid for wasting money on such high dollar shit.

Aw what a lovely gran! Hopefully you can take off the patch and unpick the stitches. It will make them truly original then :)

Why are people mad at OP for buying $300 jeans? It's her money, she can spend it as she pleases. For all we know, that could've been the only nice item of clothing she had. There's nothing wrong with splurging on an article of clothing every now and then, also there's nothing wrong with having a closet full of designer items if thats what OP desires (as long as she can afford it, then again, that isn't our business). Besides, that's not even the point of the FML. OP's grandmother messed up her property. FYL.

Why does it matter? It's her money not yours to spend. FHL, you don't know if she saved up the money because she really wanted them
