Today, I was at work, about to go to lunch. There were some girl scouts out front selling cookies. I told my manager that I would be using a different exit, and when he asked why, I told him that girl scouts really annoy the crap out of me. The girl scouts out front were his daughters. FML

Well, they are kind of annoying. Cute, but annoying. I hate the way they try to make you feel bad if you don't buy some cookies. Don't feel bad, I know plenty of people who feel the same way.

So, your life is ****** but you deserved it. But, really.. haven't you seen photos of his children on his desk?

Agreed. Ok, when I was little, I was a girl Scout for a month and it was so freaking annoying. The little head lady forced me to go to people and make this stupid face and go in this little girly shrill voice and say "Pwease buy my yummy girl scout cookies! It'd be appreciated very much!" also, I know how to spell please lol, that's just how I used to talk at age 3 :p

When he told you that, you should have said, "Well, in that case it's probably not a problem - I can just tell them to get you to buy the cookies instead. But in general girl scouts just get on my nerves; they never accept no for an answer." I mean, after all, it's not like you said, "THOSE girl scouts annoy the crap out of me." And if you still complain about girl scouts in general then he can't think that you're taking back your words just because they're his daughters.

Haaaa....how unfortunate. When he told you they were his children you should've been like "Wow, I am so sorry. For you disfortune." Girl Scouts really are annoying though.

Yeah, but then they make you feel guilty about it. "I'm sorry, I'm on my diet, and I'm almost at my goal...I can't buy any cookies." "Oh, okay...I guess I won't get the 1st place bike and prize, and do my family proud..." And then you have to buy them. It's horrid.

i agree with #3. it's pretty obvious (to me anyway) that you meant girl scouts IN GENERAL are really annoying WHEN THEY'RE TRYING TO SELL STUFF TO YOU. not that this man's daughters specifically are always annoying. there's a big difference, and he shouldn't be that offended at what you said unless you said it in a really mean way.
