Hope you get reimbursed for your time!
you're in cali and you go by km?? we use miles here, buddy.
Even worse, he used "kilometres" not "kilometers," and used the term "peak hour." The OP damn well better be a foreigner, because if he is an American who uses this language, he would need a beating.
Saw an American-born American spell color with a "u" once (colour).
Don't worry - I beat him senselessly with a Frasier DVD box set.
I love you, Mercy, I laught so hard my knickers fell off and so did my rubber.
I need to invest in a better pencil so my rubber stays put. Waight, that didn't sound right. . .
Argh! He's using the ENGLISH language correctly. Although 'peak hour' is kinda weird, 'kilometres' is a correct spelling. Maybe he got mixed up between 'rush hour' and 'peak time'.

Congratulations to him for using the ENGLISH language :P
But yeah, we say peak hour here in Australia.. maybe it comes from all the American television shows we watch
Plex-- er, perdix, and MercyFML, that was fucking brilliant. People like you are practically the only reason I still read this site.
waight?
Its wait. dumb ass
Did California switch to the metric system without telling the rest of us?

We can be considered a third world country now that we're so broke.

You fixed their damned projection system by mental telepathy on the way over. Charge them double!
I read somewhere that the US is legally supposed to use the metric system but no one ever bothered enforcing the law.
They tried to make American's convert to the metric system in the 70's but it didn't last long, we didn't like it so we switched back to our system.
Seconded. Kudos to the OP. It's about time we got rid of the outdated empirical system.
Easy Money!$! Time to party....It's the weekend! Fuck them!!!
You're from Frisco aren't you?
FAKE FML No one from Cali would use the metric system -_____-
unless they grew up somewhere else?
1. This argument's already been said... multiple times.
2. Logical fallacy.
Here is a little advice you can use the next time they call you in early to your jo... nevermind.
Time and mileage on an expense report for basically duing naught. Bob's your uncle!!!
That's hilarious. Too bad you couldn't still charge them
WTF drives at 25 MPH (it's 40 KPH when converted) in California??
You're an idiot. He said he drove FOR 40 km, not AT 40 km. Meaning, he went 40 kilometers in distance, NOT 40 kilometers per hour. He could have floored it and went for 40 km, for all we know.
He's from India. His name is Chiraag so obviously he must be working somewhere in the Bay Area. He's used to what they say in India.
Because when someone has an indian name it must mean they're FROM India, not just that they have indian heritage and actually grew up somewhere else. No no no, YOUR idea makes so much sense. Like, my name is Irish so I MUST be from Ireland, even though I'm actually from America. Do you see where I'm going with this?
Then explain why he said peak hour and 40 kilometres
I don't know WHY he said that, but just because of his name doesn't mean he's from India! Maybe he's from Canada. Or Australia. Or Scotland. Or, anywhere that ISN'T America. But don't assume he's from India.
look I'm Indian. And I'm born and brought up in the US. I would never say 40 kilometres or peak hours. I have cousins FROM India who speak like that. I have parents who speak like that. Hence my judgment. Does that make any sense?
Maybe he's from any country except the US... it's one of the only countries that still use Imperial measurements.
its something he said and everyone is starting a huge discussion about american and foreign measurements?!?!?!?! geez!
Welcome to fmylife.com! :/
calm down. sure we don't know if the OP is from a different country, but we also don't know if he is.
I'm from the UK but live in Chicago and I still use kilometres. The OP is probably just from a different country.
hmm. But in the UK, in average day life, they still use miles right? So how come your used to kilometers then?
Question from a dutchie
At my job if you come in even for 2 seconds and walk right out they have to pay you for a full 4 hours. You gotta man up and tell them they owe you SOMETHING!
What's worse was probably when you found out that the reason for their problem was that they forgot to hit the power button or plug in the cord.
thats jus stupid!!! this isnt a fyl, unless u work on comission!
#42 - On 11/06/2009 at 11:11pm by kravitzz1990
I work on commission, and I live in Australia... I just didn't change what country I'm from from the default settings....
Good job! Don't listen to the morons whining about the metric system just because their too simple minded.
fe fe.. im from australia too!! i would tell that company to atleast pay for ur petrol money coz the petrol def isnt cheap here in aus!!! i would def complain
#44 - On 11/06/2009 at 11:51pm by kravitzz1990
today, my company called in that dumbass projector guy. he's like from africa or something. anyways, we faked the projector problem just so he can drive 24 MILES in RUSH HOUR. go back to Russia commy! FML

english dude what the hell is a kilometer. i never understand those stupid european measurements.
Indeed. The metric (le Système international d'unités) is the most used system in the world. Only US, Burma and Liberia haven't officially adopt it. So I think it's actually your imperial measurements who are stupid. It's not a logical measurement system mmkay
kilometer is not jus measurements in europe, the guys from australia... stfu u closed minded yank!!

who in California drives "kilometers" in "peak hour"?
You should have insisted on coming in anyways to make sure it is in fact fixed. Or in this case, to make sure it isn't. So that you can then charge them to fix it yourself.
