I can't say I'm surprised.... I get horrified when I see girls as young as 12-13 wearing tons of make-up, tanning excessively, smoking, abusing alcohol....... it's amazing how much these can age your skin.
I've always been careful about these things and people who meet me for the first time generally think I'm somewhere between 16 -18, although I'm almost 23
There are a lot of obvious benefits to looking older than you are. PLUS you got called good-looking! :)

Make-up is suprisingly ageing! Lots of young girls don't realise that, especially when they cake it on... Perhaps she wears too much make up? cover up the spots and a bit of mascara will do the trick, no need to put a full face on, or you will look 80! (I know this from experience!!)
there was this girl at my school and she was 17 and she looked at least 45 but she didn't do drugs or smoke or anything. i thought she was a teacher until she was in one of my classes.
so i don't think this is fake.
but that does suck a lot. moisturize? haha i don't know. fyl.
i look like i'm 14 but i'm really 18. i think that will be a good thing one day. yay. :)

this doesnt make any sense. did you tell him you were forty? if he assumed you were then he wouldnt have said you looked good for your age, he wouldve just said you looked your age. you lie.
This has happened to me... I was 13 (I was tall for my age and and early bloomer!) and I got mightily pissed off with older lads chatting me up thinking I was in my 20's. I took great pleasure out of loudly announcing I was sufficiently below the age of consent to get them sent to prison for a LONG time.
Now however (bitter, bitter!) I look about 35 (I'm 20) and people seem so suprised to find out I'm not a "mature" student but in fact, straight out of 6th form.... I feel for this girl! I don't smoke or passive smoke, I eat my 5 a day and I gym 3 times a week - I think fate just hates me! :P
