Today, my boss asked me to pick up some supplies for a presentation. I entered the store in the middle of an armed robbery, was knocked to the floor, and had my cash, phone and credit cards stolen. When I told my boss the story, she said, "So were you able to get the binder clips?" FML

If the boss sent you during work hours you can claim an injury under workmans compensation. Say you were injured when knocked to the floor or you suffered mental anguish. Your company can be held liable. Time off with pay!
The FML clearly says "she said", learn to read people!
And your boss is a woman, women don't do logic so you can't really blame her.. ;D
You now have a weird fear of binder clips that will stick with you the rest of your life. Preparing presentation materials will never be the same again.
Also, are you like the office gopher? Don't you get like weekly / monthly supply delivery?

but either way im sure an office supply store wouldnt be a bad place to rob from a robbers point of veiw. anywhere with lots of cash is fair game

Also, you can get binder clips at other places than office supplies stores...
Or if it was at an office supply store, maybe the thief was looking for money...Or maybe they just have a thing for office supplies, you never know.

Not sure if anyone mentioned, didnt feel like reading all of the above, but you can claim the stolen money and phone with Worker's comp, (and if you were injured and needed any medical treatment) since you were only at the store at the request of your manager. I dont mean sue their ass off, just that you can, at the very least, be reimbursed for your phone and medical bills. I am a Worker's comp adjuster. :)

First of all I don't believe you because nobody robs an office supply store. Second, if your boss told you to get binder clips you need to get the damn binder clips. If you're unharmed enough to write and FML about it you could have gotten the clips.
