Today, one of the guests I was in the middle of seating knocked an empty wine glass from the table. I assured them it was all right, and kneeled down to pick up the now broken glass. The lady insisted on helping, as far as picking the glass up and dumping the shards into my open hands. FML

it's ok. i've been used as a personal shopping basket. some woman came in and asked for help, and proceeded to dump things she liked into my arms. #1, they've got a real job. uncalled for.

Where else is she supposed to put it? Shards of glass can't cut you by just dropping them into your hand; the glass doesn't weigh enough. What a drama queen.

Show it anyway

I always get jackasses that make me babysit their children (sometimes this involves me taking them to the toilet to change their nappies. Ewww) I'm a hairdresser not a fucken childcare worker

Unless you're a CEO of a huge corporation, stfu.

I would of been tempted to put that broken glass straight into her face for that.

fyl? unless it cut you I don't really see this as that bad... if it pissed you off that bad, you couldve always dumped them on her face.

Yeah, I don't get why it's an FML either. Did you expect her to follow you back into the kitchen? Or would it really have been better if she just sat there while you picked up glass?

I think people who dont see why this is a FML havent been in this kind of position. Customers don't think sometimes about the safety of other people, especially people who work in shops. I used to work in a shop that sold vases and and I walked in on a woman jamming broken vase shards between a shelf and the floor so she wouldn't have to pay for something she had broken. I wish I could have confronted her about it because firstly the shop didnt make customers pay for broken vases and secondly she didnt care I would have to (and did) reach into the dark hole and blindly pull out sharp pieces of vase.

Dude, even if it didn't cut his hand, the woman could of considered the fact that she was dumping shards of glass into his hands, when all he was doing was cleaning up HER mess. You shoulda waited until she gave up trying to help you, and put the broken glass on her seat.

but that's her job, to clean up spills in the reatrtruant... she should be happy the op helped out at all

This literally makes no sense

What did you expect her to do? Run to the back room and grab a broom? At least she tried to help.
