Man or woman?

Today, I realized that getting an awesome new phone with all the new bells and whistles doesn't mean that people will now actually want to talk to me. FML

I agree, your life sucks (5889) - you totally deserved it (12603)

Buying new technology doesn't magically make you non-boring.

What you need to buy is a personality. I don't know where you can buy a personality, but a good start would be the Perdix Motivational Course on three DVD's for only 249.99 (of whatever your local currency is -- I sell a lot in Japan for some reason). Order today, call 1-800-E-A-T S-H-I-7!

#18 - On 01/04/2010 at 8:43am by perdix

I went into high school not knowing anybody except a few old friends and I met 9 new friends in the first semester so don't lose hope. your fault for thinking people would talk to you because you had a new phone though. :)

#19 - On 01/04/2010 at 8:43am by disturbedfan01

and perdix does it again, and again and again LMFAO

#20 - On 01/04/2010 at 8:45am by disturbedfan01

perdix I don't think that's a legit phone number. =)

Congratulations. You are more intelligent than 90% of those people who buy a new cell when the old is still functional. Next step: talk to people to let them know. Then give them your number.

Try talking to them first, smart one.

There's probably a good reason no one calls you. First and Foremost, you're probably a loser, have a lame personality or just boring. But what you might want to give a try to is: going out and meeting some more loser people like yourself. :) That way you might be the "cool phone guy" in your loser crew, hence; you might even get called. :)

What? I got a cheap phone, and it still has the capabilities to receive fake texts from imaginary friends. Try scripting your email client to do that. Alternatively get a third arm attached. People will talk to you then.

Having a BASIC phone with texting and calling will help you a tinyyyyyy bit in getting and keeping friends- because it allows you to stay in contact with them.

Having internet (if you are the type of girl who already has friends and goes out with them alot at night in cars, and gets lost) might help your friends like you a tinyyy bit more- if you can get directions and stop you guys from being lost, sure thats always a plus.
===================

But in all honesty? A phone does not get you friends- looks and personality do. That includes your face, your body, your personality, your good mood, etc. Everything is taken into account! Look at yourself and think "would I wanna be friends with myself? Am i sexy, exciting, fun, goodlooking, outgoing, and cool enough for lots of people to wanna befriend me?". That is your answer. And there is no point in lying to yourself, either- that will only complicate the issue!

Make a list of what to improve on, and IMPROVE ON IT. If that means practicing your personality in front of the mirror, buying a complete new wardrobe of sexy and "in" clothes, and running laps upon laps on the treadmill and working out like crazy on the weight machines to lose some poundage, than do so!!! Don't EVER think "oh i dont wanna do that, its too much work" because GUESS WHAT? EVERYBODY ELSE WHO HAS FRIENDS MANAGES TO DO IT AND GET THRU IT! if you want friends, you gotta have the same attitude as the successful people do.

======================

A phone does NOT get you friends. A phone is simply the means to communicate with friends. It WILL help your situation out immensely- BUT only if you already have friends to BEGIN with!

#50 - On 01/04/2010 at 6:05pm by Freeze

(0)

How long did it take you to figure that out? And, btw, #48 you must be really shallow to state that looks get you friends. (And yes, I know you said personality too.)

#49 - On 01/04/2010 at 5:43pm by Jessi_Rose96

(0)

I don't think he meant looks as in hotness, but looks as in having good hygiene and not looking scary/smelly/homeless. A 500 pound girl with a mustache might have a harder time making friends.

#52 - On 01/04/2010 at 7:03pm by Jackster1020

a 97 year old hobo from war-torn cambodia with only 3 limbs and five limbs may also have the same problem making friends.

#53 - On 01/04/2010 at 7:58pm by TheHeroOfTime

I bet he's right there probably is an app for that

(0)

...Run that by me again, how does that mean you know how she feels? She's talking about feeling alone. If you've got your tongue down some random guy's throat, you're hardly 'alone'.

#63 - On 01/06/2010 at 3:28am by Firesprite2009

(0)

um....materialistic much? why don't you try a different approach. like getting a nice hobby or something, or maybe you expect those qualities in people your self. blings, like those birds that find shiny objects and brings them to the female or male and see if they would respond. bottom line you're doing it wrong

#61 - On 01/05/2010 at 2:09am by karinka

(0)

I think that maybe you should think that if you're flashing off a new phone with all the 'bells and whistles', people are just going to think you're stuck up. Personally, I wouldn't be friends with someone like that. Perhaps take a different approach? I feel bad for you anyway. I'd talk to you..

#62 - On 01/05/2010 at 10:29am by lmcb_x

(0)

Perhaps its because you are too materialistic, and use the phrase "Bells and whistles"
