Wow, no good deed unpunished... sorry man.

lol, you saw an elderly man fall in a crosswalk? Hilarious
wtf how is that hilarious?
hahahahaha that's funny I bet the old guy was mexican who set the whole thing up so his other mexis would steal his bike to get over the border and destroy his phone so he can't call the police about it! まやはしかあたなはたやはたさやらはかたทาตาดนปกลหากลดไตไ枯

Oh crap. Sorry to hear that. :(
#4 - On 02/20/2009 at 10:06am by cypher_sonic
Altruism is selfless concern for the welfare of others. Take comfort in the fact that the reward for your deed is internal. Externally your phone and your bike were only material objects which can be replaced.
#5 - On 02/20/2009 at 10:11am by MJD
That's terrible. I too know the bond between man/woman and bike... nothing makes you feel violated like having that thing stolen. Sorry.
#6 - On 02/20/2009 at 10:18am by withlit
Wow so It's true! No ownder I've had that feeling...I had a bike and got stolen, I right away bought another one and I was planing on pitting a lock on it but got stolen again before I could. Then I found another one but mom said to throw it away. DX Now I'm bikeless and feel empty.
You did the right thing, though.
#7 - On 02/20/2009 at 10:23am by Capybara
Geez...I hope your luck turns around! I'll second poster #5 minus the Buddhist stuff. Regardless of whatever happens, remember that you are a good person and, unfortunately, there aren't many of you left in this world!
#8 - On 02/20/2009 at 10:23am by QQ McCallister
Man, this sucks, but at least you didn't let the old man get run over by 6 cars. That would have been more traumatic to watch. Also, thanks for doing the right thing.
#9 - On 02/20/2009 at 10:29am by Ericacea
Good for you for helping the old man. Not too many people nowadays would stop and help. Sucks that you lost yer stuff, but karma will bite the person who stole your bike in the ass.
#10 - On 02/20/2009 at 10:34am by
You see, since the man you helped didn't have anything bad happen to him, you had to take the worst of it. :O
#11 - On 02/20/2009 at 11:03am by Larwick
But you saved the old man from possibly receiving more harm. I mean, who knows what could have happened to him if you hadn't helped him. Good job, man. I wish there were more people like you.
#12 - On 02/20/2009 at 11:09am by whoa
o_0
yeah like the people in the cars would run over the man as soon as the light turned green
#284 - On 08/19/2009 at 7:17pm by IUsed2
Well the people wont run over him but he might aswell get the man out of the way then wait til he gets up or have someone drving move him btw good job dued u did the right thing i hope karma help u out
So sorry for u man. U're nice.

that's about as true a FML moment right there. Sorry dude.
why did no one stop them from stealing your bike?????????
#18 - On 02/20/2009 at 12:08pm by M
sorry bro - but that's funny shit - almost sounds like a scene from a movie
aww... :( truly a FML moment
Poor guy/girl, but you know you did the right thing!
lol #19 - I agree!
However, this sounds almost too bad to be true. But if it IS true... fuck. Your life is... fucked.
Shit. If I had been the old man I would have paid you a better, brand new bike and a better, brand new phone. And an ice cream on top.
#23 - On 02/20/2009 at 12:34pm by nicolas
I know it's no consolation, but at least tons of people on the internet feel your pain and truly appreciate what you did?
#24 - On 02/20/2009 at 12:43pm by yay!
*hug*. You're a nice person. Too bad there are big fat jerks in the world.
#25 - On 02/20/2009 at 12:46pm by alwaysalady
sorry man
that sucks, but maybe you do the right thing, who knows?
are you single? you're the type of person i am looking for. :)
#27 - On 02/20/2009 at 12:50pm by s
I am proud of what you did. While it may seem like a fml. Things do happen to good people for a reason. YOu may get a better phone, or the phone might have caused you to get hurt in future. just be happy.
MARRY ME
#29 - On 02/20/2009 at 1:00pm by you are perfect
Aww, that sucks. Big time. :( Still, it was the right thing to do.
@ #5...true, but his wallet might not see it that way. ;]
#30 - On 02/20/2009 at 1:06pm by alison
Aww, you're so nice (: .
It's okay though, maybe good karma will come later in your life.
#31 - On 02/20/2009 at 1:11pm by red_apples
cheers to you...it's karma. what comes around goes around...you'll get a new bike and phone in the future...but you can't just replace an old man.
#32 - On 02/20/2009 at 1:36pm by mish831
awww this made me sad. but hey karma baby. karma
#33 - On 02/20/2009 at 1:44pm by popobean
A friend of mine's truck broke down at work once. Another guy in a truck came to help her jump it, he ran out of gas and had to push his truck to the gas station. On top of that his phone fell out of his pocket and he proceeded to run it over. Good deeds are bad news.
There's no such thing as karma as demonstrated by this post. Just because you do good, doesn't mean you're going to get good. The fact is that what you do is only a self interpretation of things judged by others as right or wrong. What others claim you do is irrelevant to whether or not you're a good person or not. So it's entirely up to you to do good or bad; the rain falls the same on your house either way. Next time, don't help anyone, and there will be no equal measurement on your part.
#35 - On 02/20/2009 at 1:52pm by Yeah
payback's a bitch, huh?
#36 - On 02/20/2009 at 1:54pm by Jimmy Stevenson
that'll teach you to ever help out the elderly again. he was probably just the bait, and employed the other guy to steal your bike. never trust the elderly
you should have forced the old fella to pay you a new phone... and a car.
Karma is bullshit.
#39 - On 02/20/2009 at 3:08pm by Jerusalem
karma is an action or a deed, not magic. you should wiki it up.
are you guys seriously debating this and telling the poster what a good person they are? this is not a real post!!
#41 - On 02/20/2009 at 3:10pm by woohoo
You did the right thing. You weren't rewarded for it, but at least you know that you didn't just ignore him and keep on going like many would have. I'd rather have to replace some material things than have to live with my conscience knowing I didn't do what I would hope others would do for me.
#42 - On 02/20/2009 at 3:17pm by Josie
that's what you get for doing nice things.
you did a really great thing [if its true] but wow, the comments from people are hilarious lol
#44 - On 02/20/2009 at 4:37pm by Becca
aw, you poor thing!
you'll get rewarded for what you did, i promiiiise.
#37 hit it. This is how thieves operate. The phone part is clearly not planned but still...
However, assuming it was NOT planned, then people are just jerks. Honestly, I bet the drivers would have just as well run the old man over if you didn't help him. That's how people are.
Sorry man, that sucks! At least your heart was in the right place and you don't have to feel guilty for not helping the old man. But next time, I guess you'll be sure to bring your bike with you, eh? :/ Maybe talk to your service provider and see if they'll replace your phone?
#15 said precisely what i was thinking:
"No good deed goes unpunished."
#48 - On 02/20/2009 at 5:32pm by ihateyou
Aww, I'm sorry.
But it's really nice that you helped.
#49 - On 02/20/2009 at 6:47pm by xEPiCFAiLx
Oh man, that sucks!
#50 - On 02/20/2009 at 7:05pm by Gaston
100% FML. That really sucks, but things will get better! Know that you did the right thing.
dont worry the guy who stole your bike will get in back in his face one day.
#52 - On 02/20/2009 at 8:44pm by e
The fact that you helped that elderly man and sacrificed your bike and phone shows that you have a heart of gold, and nothing can take that away. Take heed that this will get you far more priceless treasures than a phone, bike, and other secular objects.

Wow, this is the best FML on the site. I don't mean in a good way, but it's what 51 said, it's 100% FML. But you're a really good person, take pride in that. People suck, they really do. I can't believe someone stole your bike. Why wouldn't anyone in the cars help?? Wtf??? Why didn't anyone stop that dude from stealing your bike?? There's no goodness left in the world!

Anonymity has ruined humanity.
Sorry about your bike.
#58 - On 02/21/2009 at 12:32am by anon
OPTION 1
-learn from the experience. keep your cell phone, wallet, keys (ie. important stuff) in a secure pocket. You can unexpectedly spill on a bike, and would rather not have shit fly around or get lost if you do fall down.
OPTION 2
-hunt down the guy who stole your bike, take his cell phone and use it for your own account.
OPTION 3
-let's put my story up on fmylife so I can get a pity party for free!
#59 - On 02/21/2009 at 1:22am by yipper

I bet the old man was grateful, though. Hopefully something good is in your future for your kind deed, because you deserve it
#65 - On 02/21/2009 at 7:44pm by Icalasari
I would guess most of us would think that helping that guy our wouldnt cost us anything. Mercy has a price no matter how small no matter how great. I am proud that you did the right thing and I hope that your cost wont stop you in the future...
#66 - On 02/21/2009 at 11:31pm by jandjbaker
you're a sweetheart. trying to be helpful and you lose :( I'm sorry that's sad, some people really fucking suck. just be glad you're not a douchebag like those people.

YOU DID THE RIGHT THING MY DUDE!! ^_^
#82 - On 02/26/2009 at 4:21am by jfly
You know we just let all the old people in America get run over or 'accidentally' become deceased it would seriously help our economy. Serious savings on healthcare and social security and on and on. lol jk. My English Professor told me this haha!
#83 - On 02/26/2009 at 3:45pm by cloud
props dude, think about how big of an impact that probly made in that old guys life. its good to know that even if theres assholes out there that will steal a bike, theres still people who will help a person in need like that
#84 - On 02/27/2009 at 2:48am by db
that sucks man
hope you get a new bike
#85 - On 02/27/2009 at 8:00pm by Zvezdomir
You Deserved that. The old man was probably in on the stealing of the bike, and as for your phone, you should have pushed it farther in your pocket or have in clipped onto your pants
#87 - On 03/01/2009 at 11:40am by ChrisDaPatriot
that's what you get for being a good person.
#88 - On 03/01/2009 at 2:25pm by grift
hahahaha i'm sorry that's so funny. but at least you did a good thing
#89 - On 03/01/2009 at 8:27pm by claaay
Ouch, I would not blame you if you never did a good deed in your life.
That's terrible! I'm so sorry! Hopefully karma comes back and does something good for you soon! That old man appreciated it, I'm sure!
#92 - On 03/02/2009 at 10:03pm by deer
I believe everything happens for a reason and I'm sure you will end up with a better phone and bike :) because you are awesome.

yeah... fyl
damn that sucks
#94 - On 03/04/2009 at 8:18pm by FYL2
aww man im sorry that really sucks :(
I know someone who called the cops on a robbery. When they were interviewing him for details, he bent down to tie his shoe and a tiny bag of weed dropped out of his pocket to the floor. He ended up getting arrested for possession. Up side? He's now dating a super model and graduating as the valedictorian at Yale...Don't worry, honey. Things get better.
dun worry dude, you helped that man for nothing, and expected nothing, something good is gunna happen soon
my mother always said "no good deed goes unpunished" sorry dude.
Hmm, why didn't you use your bike rather then run..?
And how did they steal your bike,- did you leave the keys in it..?
And whydidn't noone help..?
The world is mean sometimes >,<
I think he had a bicycle, not a motorcycle.
yea dude the world is mean
dont sweat it
things will work out
No good deed goes unpunished.
Why does everyone seem to want his sausage inside you
man.. that can't be true lol
It's okay if you don't believe in Karma, but there is a similar line of thought that's much more definite. Chances are, if there's a guy who steals someone's bike, then they're not a generally good person, and probably get themselves into bad situations. Given this, eventually at some point probability will have it that the bad deed he does does not go unnoticed, and he will pay for it. You can at least take solace in the fact that the same logic holds true for you, and that your good deeds will one day go noticed and will be rewarded subsequently.
This comment has been moderated.
you poor thing, you get punished for doing a good thing
you didn't deserve it; but in todays world you should be wise enough to know don't leave anything of any value whatsoever not under supervision; it will get stolen!
Checkmate, you've been fucked!
If God does exist, s/he/it is definitely a prankster. How else can you explain things like this (under the assumption that God exists) other than God gets really bored and wants to create a soap opera out of nothing special?
i feel bad 4 u dude, dats why sometimes its just easy 2 stay 2 urself
That majorly sucks!!!! Sorry about that.
WOW GOD HATES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i just laughed SOOOO hard!! im so sorry.
HAHA! no more good deeds for you.
you didnt do anything wrong at least..take comfort in that
sorry bout what happened with your phone and bike though =[
at least no one stole the old man
just think about it. with the way some drivers are they may not of seen the guy fall and could of ran him over and killed him if you did not help. later on your good deed will be rewarded and fate will smile upon you so forget about the bike and phone. materialistic items can be replaced, but someones life cannot.
I am so sorry that happened! At least you did a good deed.
what a fag whoever stole your bike
maybe it was all a big conspiracy and the old man was apart of your bike getting stolen. he was a distraction and your phone getting run over was just an added perk to the crime.
#122 - On 03/16/2009 at 8:26pm by cupcakes327
That sounds horrible! well as everyone else has already mentioned, you did a good thing so you will be repaid in the future ^^
Oh, fuckk.
hope your ok. :)
no good deed goes unpunished. I'm sorry about that. :(
That was so good of you! It sucks that your phone got crushed and your bike got stolen. But saving a life is worth more than those things anyway. You did a really good thing :)
still worth it ..u did an awesome thing.
Stuff like this shouldn't happen to people like you. At least you helped the man and he is greatful.
YOU DID THE RIGHT THING.
Your bike thief probably already rammed into a car and got severely injured already, considering he was probably a homo crack whore who was most likely high :S
Fuck, you poor thing! Let's hope Karma will take care of that fucker. Jesus H. Christ, that is so fucking awful! I just wish there was something I could do. Oh, and sorry for all the fucks in this entry.
it certainly doesn't pay to be nice anymore...
that sucks.sorry dude
#133 - On 03/20/2009 at 3:28pm by RW
Hopefully Karma will catch up to you (in a good way)... good deed turns into a bad situation... That always sucks.
thats such a bummer, man.
im sry :(
thats terrible. hopefully good karma will find you
dont worry...things like that happen to me too....you'll get awesome stuff l8tr.....
awwww u did the right thing though :)
:O omg... that really really really sucks... but i bet if u told ur parents the story they'd understand and get u a new bike and cell phone )): but u did u right thing (: thatz all th at matters
And old man, or my cell phone and bike....
** Bikes away while texting on cell phone**
Lmao that sucks dude.
Dude, thats so harsh. Hope it wont discourage you from helping out though!
That sucks. Karma will happen though to you and the guy who stole the bike.
wow, karma was not on your side that day! at least u did the right thing.
#143 - On 03/27/2009 at 4:26am by PrettyAwesum
its okay , what u did was great , I'm sure something amazing will happen in the future. Don't worry about the bike and cellphone , they are replaceable objects
#144 - On 03/28/2009 at 1:04am by t3
well that sucks.... similar thing happened to me but i got a new awesome iphone and my new bike is pwnd lol good luck karma is true it will come back for u
karma. it'll come back to you son.
Holy crap. Sorry about that man. That happened to my girlfriend (not the lesbian kind) while she was out with some friends...but that was just because she was drunk so she dropped her phone in the middle of the street. You however, did absolutely nothing to deserve that.
#147 - On 03/30/2009 at 7:30am by KaY262
aw man... this is the true FML stuff: ultimately discouraging... one touching post... :/
Welcome to Oakland b*tch!
Damn, your life is FUCKED.
sORRY TO hear about this.
damn. that really does suck.
i'm sooooo sorry. D:
love it. I mean that really really sucks. I hate it when you try to do something good, and instead you get fucked over. lol life just sucks sometimes. Thats why this site is amazing :)
lmfaoooo ommmgg that's so sad !
somebody stole your bike while your fone got run over AND while you were helping out someone. fuck it, i'll buy you a bike and a new fone

WOW SEEMS LIKE MOST OF THE STORIES HERE ARE PROBLEMS WHEN WE TRY TO HELP SOMEONE...lol
#157 - On 04/14/2009 at 5:10am by tipsytiff
don't worry. for every amount of pain you've suffered, you'll get the same amount of happiness in return =). you did the right thing.
#158 - On 04/14/2009 at 9:47pm by fcukit
so true that nice guys finish last!
haha i would of stolen ur bike too, haha at least u have karma for later
You were lucky. This FML could have easily said, "Today, I some some old guy get run over by six cars... gross." But you're a good person, so only your phone was ran over.
The feeling of losing material things cannot possibly add up to the feeling that you did something good. Even though I'd be pretty upset if that happened to me, too.
The energy that you put out into this world will eventually return to you. The guy that stole your bike may have been willing to kill you to get it.....thank the old man for saving your life :)
All jokes aside, that totally sucks...
how nice of you, but that blows
Oh my god rofl that sucks SO bad!
xD!!!!!!! I'm So Sorry!!! I woulda Helped you out!
...
Then Somethin woulda happened to me o.o
still lol Im sorry xDDDDD
aw man that sucks. u were being nice and u ended up with a ruined phone and a stolen bike
That really sucks! Stay nice though =).
Aghh, Wow, Thats just my luck!
dude what ever happened to karma?
dude what ever happened to karma?
wow! that freaking sucks siriously, you do a good deed (or however is spelled) and you get yoru phone broken and your bike stolen, your luck sucks, sorry to hear that happened to you, but hey at least you can feel good cuz you helped someone
Oh geeze...you did such a seriously nice thing and someone steals your bike and your phone gets ran over!?
Life can be so unfair.....
Karma obviously failed in this situation. You helped someone, and got punished double for it.
Really unfair.
sadly this only teachers me that doing good for others is bad for me.
Lifes a bitch man...Shoulda asked the old man to pay u back XD
bad day man. hope u felt good about helping the man, though. he probably really appreciated it
Oi, that sucks!! Indeed you did a good deed, and for that Im pretty sure you'll be blessed for it. Trust me....you might probably get a little better than perviously...
Oi, that sucks!! Indeed you did a good deed, and for that Im pretty sure you'll be blessed for it.alos as what #5 said. Trust me....you might probably get a little better than perviously...
what the hell!! where is the rest of my message?!!? >xp

LOL definitely Your Life Is Fuckin' Fucked XD
Damn..... I'm sorry, I hope you know that you did the right thing and that you are an example of the only good people in the world, and the people driving that saw everything happening and the guy who stole your bike are the assholes in the world.
lol this could have ended up as the old guy in texas, gets hit by 3 cars while in mid air.
hustle him for money, to repay you back for your private properties, that were fucked
atleast the man was okay. you saved a life! woohoo for you! but the whole phone situation and bike sucks. sorry dude :[
Hahahahhahah 118 that made me laugh for some reason. OP, that sucks! You seem so sweet.
Next time let his ass fall in the street!
i agree with #194 he's old and gotta die sometime and next time you see him....do yourself a favor and run him over ^_^
all of those people who screwed you are writing their own stories on fmylife.com right now... and they ALL deserved it... sons of bitches!
i guess that's what you get for helping someone out, sorry to hear about that stuff.
That is so fucked. II'm sorry!
at least you helped an elderly person.... sorry that the rest happened.
Ah, that reaaaaaaaly sucks :/ , but like he said ^ Least you helped an elderly person.
I hope it doesn't put you off of helping in the future. I hope the bike turns up soon.
you know what i think it is KARMA! MABY YOU KNOW HE WAS SUPPOSE TO FALL DID YOU EVER THOUGTH OF THAT!
At least you did the right thing, but the person who stole your bike is a DICKWART!
Karma sucks......#192 you are such an asshole.......wish that happened 2 u!!!
dude where do you live? that only happens to you in LA usually. yes usually.
Whoa...
Seriously thats like in the very rare times i say that helping doesn't always come good XDD
Just proves doing good only leads to more bad.
God. I have to say this. Sick Motherf*ckers! I hope you find the guy who stole your bike and push him into a deep pit, then see if someone with help him as someone steals HIS bike, or better yet, car.
Thats so sweet
its okyour bike stolen was no biggie, it will show up. and your phone being run over is better than the old man run over so dont let this get you down :)
You'll get your good karma back
so wait did you run across 6 lanes of traffic when going to save this man? smart.
but good deed, A+.
daanng, that's what you get for helping others silly!
sorry your life sucks :(
AHAHAHAHAHAHA YFDI you could be a little more careful next time
this is so funny
no good deed goes unpunished :T
#215 - On 05/18/2009 at 6:41pm by crazieeli
that sucks, but you were probably gonna get a new cell and bike at some point anyway; at least you helped someone
Would you rather the old man be hit..?
Hey at least you were trying to help somebody, but that still sucks I'm sorry.
#1 took the words straight outta my mouth, #5, trying to be a monk or something? I'd like to see how you'd react if that happened to you.
lol. oh man, thats funny.(:
why have so many people made such a big deal out of this??? theres about a one in a million chance that this is remotely true...i bet the OP is reading these comments laughing that people actually believed his bullshit story
Wow...That must have sucked! D:
At least you did the right thing. That probably didn't help much did it? But man, your life is fucked.
number1 couldn't have said it any better
The evil old man planned it out
the theif was his nephew, the cell phone was knocked out of your pocket and the old man was grinning wasn't he?
#227 - On 05/30/2009 at 6:50pm by emodude44
How the hell can 9,000 people say he deserved it. He tries to help an old man and got his bike stolen.
Dude, why does that always happen
That's not cool bad things shouldn't happen to good people :(
sorry for u bro. but u did the right thing.
I find this one really hard to believe. Why would people run over you while your still on the crosswalk? True or not true, FYL.
Well, I would say go to your insurance for your bike if you have any. Sorry to hear that though, about the cell phone, that would suck. And even helping an elderly.... getting your bike stolen, what a jerk.
was the man REELY worth it?
u may hav lost ur bike+phone, the the old mans ALL YOURS!!! XD
Phew I'd feel like I needed a lot of support after that!
Hope you got your bike back and a good friend bought you a new phone!
Those are one of those days that u just wished u stayed home
That's what u get for doing something good! No jk, LOL. Ur my hero
The oldman was in on it, great bike btw! LOL
How would you have felt if you hadn't helped him?
#245 - On 06/08/2009 at 3:05pm by RodeHard
This sounds like complete bullshit...
#246 - On 06/08/2009 at 6:08pm by MDLAX7
I hate how people can be so cruel and arrogant to such warm hearted people like you. I'm talking about the bike thing, the phone being crushed has no hope. Sorry for your losses.
What the hell, that's fucked up!!!!!!!!
No worries, your act of kindness and unfortunate (not to mention undeserving) sacrifice won't go unrewarded in some way. You'll see... Unless you have really shit luck ^.^
i cant be sure if this is true, getting your phone run over and a moment later, having your bike stolen? i dont know anyone who is that unlucky.
I expect this on FML
I stole this kid's bike when he was helping in old man, while I was laughing I hit a pole and flew into a police car, unconscious. I woke up in a cell next to a creepy guy and my parents are on vacation for a while.
Now you get a free update for your phone. :/
Well, you did do the right thing. You can replace a phone and a bike, but not an old man's life ;) But same thing, I feel sorry for you.... D=
Yikes! Tough break homes, Craig's list has cheap bikes :-)
Also, what are the chances, the old man and the person who stole your bike are in cahoots with one another?
#255 - On 06/11/2009 at 10:14pm by KarmaPoPo
you've been scammed, the old man was member of a gang who steals bikes
never ever help an old man again
Congratulations, you are truly a courteous and generous person.
But lets just hope the elderly man wasn't "in on it."
Bikes are THE most common thing be stolen. Don't abandon them for a second.
thats fucked up...
your probably gonna get some HUGE good thing back, maybe not today 'cause of all that but some other day just you wait. x]
Okay for all of you guys that click on YDI or says let the old guy fall.
You can all go to hell and hope when you guys get old that happens to you
I hate that! Whenever someone does something good for others, something bad happens to them. Should something good happen?
Awww your'e soo sweet for helping the old man! The people who said you deserved that need to get a fucking life.
Man that sucks that your phone and bike are gone but you should feel proud you helped that guy, you did a good deed.
i feel sorry for you!!! FYL
even when you tried to help an elderly man!!!
prob u did something bad before KARMA
Sorry bro, true case of Murphy's Law, eh?... well you might've lost your wallet, too... that woulda sucked.
to #5: I believe, then, that since this man earned the internal "reward", which would be no different if his bike and phone weren't lost... that you replace his "material objects".
Things happened too much and too quick. Sorry to hear your return for helping the others.
#270 - On 07/12/2009 at 7:45am by KKO
If you could have helped that elderly man, but didn't, and he'd been hurt, you would feel much worse. If someone asked you for your cell phone and bike, in exchange for that man's life, my guess is that you'd freely give them up.
Good for you for making the right choice.
This is things that make you wonder a lot and get you on a horrible mood for a while, you got to pay attention to what happends to you everyday and maybe in the future you'll realize that loosing that phone or bike actually helped you. Know what I mean?
it fucking sucks because you did a good thing and your bike gets stolen
#274 - On 07/22/2009 at 1:19pm by cdell
This was major suckage for you but hilarious for me. "I watched as several cars ran over my phone. Then, I watched as my bike got stolen across six lanes of traffic". I'm sorry, but ROFL all day on this one.
no good deed goes unpunished
rofl.
i guess karma wasn't on ur side today.
I laughed so hard when I read that.
Hey dude. Fuck that must suck. But good people and bad people always have whats coming for them. Chin up and soldier up ok man?
You're a good guy. :D
Hey dude, don't worry about it. Karma will make its rounds soon enough...
you shouldn't have helped.
Don't worry- Karma will catch up to you!
You did the right thing!
You know, you did the right thing. And who knows? Maybe that was fate. Maybe you'll get one of the nicest cell phones ever, and then a motorcycle after that. Or maybe you'll get $20 million. Who knows? All I know is that Karma's catching up. Nice!
I lol'd
#288 - On 08/31/2009 at 10:23am by McAlly
This was hilarious! I lol'd so hard...that seriously sucks.
regrettably, no good deed goes unpunished.
pity really.
The last bit is more proof that the world is screwed up. Really sorry for you, man.
I think you'll get your bike back. I saw the thief being chased by a skinny guy in a pink jumpsuit.
Poor thing! So sorry to hear that. But you did the right thing
never ever do anything nice for people they take advantage as soon as they see you doing good, this proves my theory
man that sucks big time FYL
Dude, I've read these thing for over an hour, but this is the best ever.. Laughed so hard.. But at the same time i feel sorry for you, since you lost your bike and phone. But you helped the man, and that is the most important thing :)

This story is worth a thousand bucks... I choked on my drink when I heard this one..!! :)
i agree that your life is pretty harsh to lose your bike and phone at the same time is really messed up. not much you can do though except go to the police and report the missing bike. really sorry for ya man but you did the right thing so you walked away feeling good:-)
i took your bike after i ran over your phone jk but y would u help that old man dont u know terrible things happen when u help somebody whats wrong with u
hahaha #304 made me lmfao
The old guy might turn out to be a billioniare. He might offer to give you maybe a couple million dollars. Nothing too much for your troubles... ;)
You are still a good person though and that's all what matters.
Wouldn't have bothered, sorry if I sound harsh. You try to be the hero and bad stuff ends up happening to you.
#314 - On 12/02/2009 at 7:00am by Soloblackdude
you can get a bike back, if that old man wouldve gotten run over, you can't get a life back. you did the right thing so stop being a whiney retard, be happy :)
That's messed up Yo. Your good deed will do you good. But it was quite funny.
condoms
#317 - On 12/05/2009 at 10:54pm by poke_dead_things
*GASP* What a douche!!!! Idc if it was 6 lanes, i'd chase that kid down until i caught him and knocked him down. Oh well....you saved an old man, and he stole a bike. Karma bites back.
haha lol yr life sucks bad
So the lesson to be learned here is that when you help an old man bad things happen
#322 - On 12/13/2009 at 4:40pm by bppirate33
It doesn't always pay to be good. But i liked ur kindness.
You did good, man, you did good.
'May have lost your phone and bike, but you saved an old man I'm pretty sure got the respect of every sensible person who read that.
awwwwh im sorry :(

#325 - On 12/21/2009 at 6:42pm by holaworld
Well, at least you helped the old guy.... :3
I agree with #280

#329 - On 01/01/2010 at 12:59am by kujo7

#331 - On 01/05/2010 at 1:29am by FJT
Dats a life leason "Bad things come to those who are good" :)
Ahh man. That really sucks. Good job on helping the old man out though!
i dont see why anyone would think this is funny...but like others are saying, you did a good deed and you will be blessed with something better in return. =]
dude this should be the top FML. sorry to hear that.
im sorry bout your stuff, but congrats for doing the right thing :D
aww that sucks but at least you helped the poor man. good job kid :).
No good deed goes unpunished. :D
OMG! I am so sorry. : ( At least u did a good thing. That's what counts!
evil pervails when good men do nothing! LOL
WELL I AM A BLEAVER IN KARMA SO IF YOU EVER DID ANY THING BAD IT HAS COME BACK 3 FOLD SO BE CAREFUL AND JUST KEEP BE GOOD
Aw sorry about that. At least you helped the guy. Karma will come back around and get ya ;) trust me.
Oh man, that sucks. :( sorry for you. bad things happen to good people. Hey, I got locked out of my house today in the rain and had to climb a ladder onto my roof to pop a screen and climb through the window. Yeah, I had to break into my own house. FML, too.
How the heck did you post this with your phone busted?
#345 - On 01/25/2010 at 10:01pm by Sebastian1001
so the world says fuck you for being nice
wow some people's comments on here are literally vile. how do you people live with yourselves? for the one's who keep bringing karma or God into the mix did you ever even entertain the possibility that it has nothing to do with karma or an angry God but just bad luck? not having his cell phone deep enough in his pocket, getting his bike stolen why does it have to be a supernatural force that did it? why not blame it on the things that really caused it?
as for the one who posted this FML i'm totally sorry dude. if i knew you, i'd pitch in to buy you a new phone and a new bike. i'll bet the old guy will never forget you though. and somewhere along the way he'll tell someone else about it i'm sure. you'll be loved by people you'll never know cause you saved his life. props for being someone above the standards. =)
but you saved a life, isn't that worth it?
wow that sucks I got my bike stolen while I was at a gas station and it was right nere the door
ydi for helping old people
