FYL for not understanding that the quicker it dries the least damage you have. FYL AGAIN for not understanding that cold water saved you from the burning pain.
It has become an ingrained habit for me, whenever I buy Superglue/Krazyglue I also buy a bottle of nail-polish remover.
One afternoon with the handset of a phone bonded to my hand was enough of a lesson for me.

Hahaha I was standing on the counter digging through a cabinet and it fell out, knocking the lid off. I stepped on the bottle with one foot, in the mess with the other.
That was superfun. Not.

It's not even the cold water that makes it hard. It's the water, period.
Please Google things before you decide to take stupid decisions. You could have easily gotten a burn from doing that. Water + superglue = lots and lots of heat.

You ought to have to remove a sticker that says, "Acetone can be used to remove product from skin - do not use water" to be able to open the bloody package of glue.

Jeez people. Lay off the harsh comments. I was gluing a rubber pad that fell of the bottom of my laptop back on. I ran to the sink to wash it off. I had no idea that cold water would react so badly with it. I figured it'd wash right off.

When I get superglue on my hands, I let it dry, then scrape it off with a small kind of dull knife. Try not to bond your fingers together...
