Today, I found a bell that had been tied into the tassel of my ski hat by my twin sister as part of a longstanding prank war between us. I'm deaf and have apparently been jingling like an elf for over a week. FML

Funny if it's true, but how did you put a hat on for a week without noticing a bell on it? Seems like you'd notice the weight of it, or at least see it.

Now THAT is a good prank! Not overly "mean"... doesn't destroy your stuff or make you look like a COMPLETE loser in public.. just a bit dorky. Rides that ragged edge of pranks. Sure, it F's your L a bit, but gotta give creds where it's due!

Sew bells into all of her underwear. And I mean several bells in each so she will have a jingle butt wherever she goes. Unless she wants to take the time to take them all out, which could make her run late. It's a win-win.

I think you had it coming....but hey, as long as it's a friendly prank war, it's good. Awesome when you love someone enough to really get them good.
I'd suggest doing something that ties into your deafness....if you live with her, bug the house (or just her room if you have parents) with something that makes a noise she hates. Get a lot of them and put them everywhere. Like, crickets or something, only more annoying. When she asks if you can hear it, well, you can't, so she's SOL.

to expand on what #55 said - buy a bunch of little bells. You can buy them at crafting stores in packets of 20, dirt-cheap. Buy dozens and put them everywhere: sew them in her clothes, drop them in her bags and shoes, sprinkle them along her bookshelves, put then into her desk drawers, drop a couple in her shampoo bottle, etc. Be creative. When she starts to go mad from the tinkly little sounds, calmly point out that since you're deaf, the noise doesn't bother you.
I once pranked my little brother by buying a bunch of googly-eyes and pasting them all over his stuff. Then I added notes like, "I'm watching you. God is watching you. The neighbors are watching you" and so on.

that's gonna be hard to top. iv wanted to try this, though. put a boluion(sp?) cube in the shower head in her bathroom. wait for a hot shower from her, and enjoy the soup smell.
OR what you can do is take your lights for the doorbell and put like a brighter bulb in hers, then at night ring the doorbell.

Like others said, since her prank worked because you were deaf, get one that works because she can hear, such as a shitload of alarm clocks hidden in her room, set to go off in 3 minute intervals.
Take a long, narrow potato (one that will fit well into an exhaust pipe) and drill a hole in it long ways. Then rig a whistle in one end or find one of those long, thin whistles and stick it in the potato hole. Potato goes in the tailpipe. When the victim gets in the car and starts it up they'll wonder where the hell that noise is coming from. the noise wont bother you at all =]
or you can buy an autopipe whistle at a gag store

Well i don't find that most of these people are sitting here thinking about the actual FML rather than arguing back and forth between each-other over their opinions. (therefore, making this a contradictory comment.) i think it was clever and funny, depending upon the age of you two. If you're older it's easier to understand the humor. Kids can be cruel either way, but i respect the good judgement on your part. As long as you know your sister is kidding, this could end up being a great prank-war, and, to top it off, even if it's 'just a prank war,' they too can be FML moments. Get her back as you said you would but be clever.
