Man or woman?

Today, I checked my Facebook to find I had been tagged in a bunch of photos from a party I had attended last night. On each picture I had a comment from my mom saying, "You're grounded." FML

I agree, your life sucks (22135) - you totally deserved it (56150)

Hahahahaha. What's up with parents having facebooks???

#1 - On 03/14/2009 at 5:54pm by _Elizabeth_

true dat, my mother ruined fb for me

#138 - On 02/09/2010 at 9:00pm by tom_a7x

You're grounded.

#2 - On 03/14/2009 at 5:57pm by Needlenose

this is why you DON'T accept friend requests from your parents.

#4 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:00pm by shallowsmile

And why haven't you limited what family members can see on your account? It's easy to do. You deserved this one, sorry.

#5 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:00pm by amoeba00

I was reading an article about how the fasting growing group of Facebook-ers are middle aged people! You should be careful about what your friends post on there. I heard some employers look at facebook and myspace now.

But hahaha, you totally deserved that if you can still be grounded. Silly high school kids.

#6 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:01pm by myname

No no no, guys, if someone tagged the OP in photos, and the mother was able to comment on them, that means she was friends with the person who posted the photos; not necessarily the OP.

#7 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:02pm by tentenjen

Yeah, that's true. I've noticed on facebook, when you're tagged in a photo, it doesn't automatically appear on your profile until you sign in. That gives you the chance to remove your tag. But either way, like #7 said, if Mom was able to comment, she was connected to the uploader.

#136 - On 12/05/2009 at 1:00am by emmerphone

You deserved it for being stupid enough to friend your mom on facebook.
Additionally, if you're going to be facebook friends with her, at least put her on a limited profile viewing. Jeez.

#8 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:02pm by kittenkissies

ew. why are you friends with your mom on facebook?
thats exactly why you shouldnt be.

#9 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:03pm by CAITx4OH1xCORE

hahaha i laughed outloud. i can totally relate because one of my aunts is always commenting on my facebook stuff and saying "we'll talk about this later"

#10 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:04pm by wild

Ouch, that sucks.

#11 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:05pm by Mistress_Puppy

haha #6 - so true
but to the OP, what did you expect? You have your mom as a friend (should at least limit what she can see) and there party pictures on facebook.

#12 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:08pm by could_be_funny

never, ever be your mom's friend on the biggest gossip site in the world.

#13 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:10pm by karma_queen

i block my mom from seeing albums or pictures i dont want her seeing.
thats hilarious though.

when i was in europe, i was talking to my friend for a little while on facebook on wall-to-wall.
later that day, my dad who was back at home in jersey calls me to tell me that he saw i was talking to the friend and to let me know that he's watching. haha parents are annoying as fuckk. haha

#14 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:10pm by oh_thatsucks

Why are you friends with your mom on Facebook?

#15 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:12pm by Chris968

This has happened to me before.
Except, my mom didn't comment the pictures...Hahahaha.
Sucks for you, though.

#16 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:14pm by ilybby

hahahahahahahaha that is so funny, but at the same time it sucks! my parents have a facebook too, but i dont think they would do that!(:

#17 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:21pm by PiNk_BuNnY15

I think this has happened to most of us unfortunate children who have overly invasive parents.

#18 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:31pm by littlelady

You can go and limit who can see your tagged photos from the settings panel.
Maybe you should take 5 minutes and create "friend groups" so you can limit what people see. In the same way that business people can have crazy bad fun but keep it from their professional contacts on Facebook.

#19 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:32pm by moosing

NEVER, EVER friend your mom on Facebook. It's never a good idea, especially when you'll be putting up pictures like that. Or you could have at least better-utilized the privacy options for your tagged photos. So this is basically you're fault.

Haha I could just picture it...

You're grounded.

You're grounded.

You're grounded.

You're grounded....

You: Ugh. Crap x(

#20 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:35pm by PureGold

uhhhhhhh ya busted.

#21 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:35pm by mf

I happen to have my mom on my facebook, she's not the one to worry about, it's my aunt :|.. and I'm 22.. haha

#22 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:41pm by jamm6512

Why are you friends with your Mom on facebook if you're still a little kid who gets grounded for going to a party

#23 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:47pm by evanwilliams

LIMITED PROFILE bro.

#24 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:50pm by iwishiwereyou

this makes me SOOOO glad that my mom wont touch a computer bc she thinks it is the devil's work hahaha...

#25 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:53pm by curious_missy

That's hilarious. You're mom is clever.

#26 - On 03/14/2009 at 6:55pm by xolotl

what is wrong with everyone on here?

This person didn't deserve it because she's friends with her mom on facebook....

They deserved it because they apparently snuck out of their house without permission and allowed someone to take compromising pictures of them (probably including alcohol)...

I mean... you did something you weren't supposed to and were stupid enough to leave hard evidence of it.... you're an idiot...

#27 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:03pm by gravityplanx

lol

#28 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:04pm by pinkfrenchrose

God that is exactly why I wont add my mom on Facebook. At least until I turn 21 in a few months haha.

#29 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:09pm by llSgtScopell

owned.

#30 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:10pm by blushinFML

This is where you exercise common sense and ask yourself if you really want pictures of yourself drinking and/or smoking weed up on the internet for everyone to see (such as potential employers). Even if you have a limited profile, a diligent person can usually find a way to look at your party pictures.

#31 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:14pm by cthulhu1138

yo man get your mother of facebook hahaha.
or stop taking pictures of you stoned at parties

#32 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:17pm by fcbarcafan19

#31, you must spend a lot of time creeping on facebook

#33 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:18pm by evanwilliams

You'd think your friends would actually have a brain, and know not to post this shit on the internet.

Or maybe you shouldn't let pictures be taken all together, and avoid the whole situation.

#34 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:18pm by iammeanttolive

It's called limited profile.

#35 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:19pm by batch56

lol.. the downside of social networking!

#36 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:20pm by virginat21

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!!

#37 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:22pm by natividales

Hahaha, awesome! Privacy settings work to an extent, but I find the best method is to not get into situations that you wouldn't want the world to see. Or, the day after a party, you better be on FB all day long to be there to untag yourself from any unapproved photos. I think staying out of trouble is the easier solution. You could also use this as an opportunity to show your mom that everyone really IS getting into the same trouble (assuming drinking). Show her some of your friends' profiles and show her pictures of them shitfaced. At the very least, you might all get grounded together hahaha.

Techy Parenting Win!

#38 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:24pm by skladek

I feel your pain. My mom has a facebook too, and i know she would be suspicious if i rejected her friend request. Just do what i do and frequently complain to your friends about your mom having a facebook, and they won't post those pictures of you if they're nice.

#39 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:37pm by graciegirl

What exactly were you doing in the photos that got you grounded?

#40 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:38pm by lollipopz8988

Lol. Sucks for you. That's why you don't tag yourself in pictures with illegal stuff.
&& don't be friends with your parents.

#41 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:49pm by HeyyyBrahhh

#27 knows wassup
I personally don't think there's anything wrong with being friends with your parents on fb. There's nothing that I do that I feel I have to hide from anyone. My SISTER on the other hand would never friend my mom lolllllll... maybe it's just that I come from more of a background of faith, but I figure if God can see anything wrong I'm doing then I don't need to be worrying about any person on facebook. As others have said, just don't do anything you wouldn't want to get caught doing and you'll be fine :) Nobody's perfect, but we can all still strive to be

#42 - On 03/14/2009 at 7:54pm by amirn86

Quite simple, have u and all of your friend delete her, it wont happen again

#43 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:08pm by matt02343

i would never add my mom!

#44 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:18pm by basketball03

Deserved it for totally disobeying your parents apparently.

#45 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:19pm by alex_vik

HAHAHAHAHA. oh man, that's why you set your privacy settings to block photos for your mom that others post.

HA! why do you even have your mom on facebook anyways

#46 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:32pm by threegp

Okay, what is up with parents joining Facebook??!!

#48 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:43pm by FuzzMonkey09

Dumbass. Make a custom friends group for your parents so they can't see your pictures.

#49 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:47pm by texmas

This is exactly the reason i didn't accept my parents as friends on facebook.

#50 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:53pm by zap

hahahaha, thats great lol.

yeeeah, maybe u shouldnt be friends with ur mom o_o

#51 - On 03/14/2009 at 8:58pm by yankeesfan130225

If you're young enough to get grounded, you totally deserved that. You're lucky you weren't arrested for underage drinking!

#52 - On 03/14/2009 at 9:00pm by kellster

Hahaha, parents using Facebook. Time to find a new site to hang out on, guys!

#53 - On 03/14/2009 at 9:03pm by Lou_Briccant

haha, what were you doing exactly?
anyway, this is why i am utterly thrilled my parents don't have one, really, you should use limited profile next time...

#54 - On 03/14/2009 at 9:18pm by watchnlearn

This is why you don't add your parents on Facebook.
Still freaks me out when I see my mom under "people you may know."
[Shudders]

#55 - On 03/14/2009 at 9:34pm by iEuphorical

Hahaha! Why would you be friends with your mom on Facebook in the first place?!

#56 - On 03/14/2009 at 9:41pm by fillmyheart028

#27, 32, 34 and all those alike

Have you never been drunk/baked at a party. Personally I love to be in pictures when I am either, even though when I'm sober I hate it.

#57 - On 03/14/2009 at 11:09pm by HomeGrownJew

Everyone knows you don't add your parents on Facebook! Sorry, but you deserved that.

#58 - On 03/14/2009 at 11:39pm by neverinmyfavor

block her from seeing your pictures DUH! not that difficult.

#59 - On 03/14/2009 at 11:45pm by lemon_squeezy

aahah thats why karma is a bitch

#60 - On 03/15/2009 at 1:42am by newyorkbebe

Wow, wtf is wrong with everyone on here?

OP, you deserve to be grounded. Not for friending your mother on facebook, but for being stupid enough to put yourself into a compromising situation, and letting your friends take pictures of you when you were clearly incapacitated. Not only that, but your friends being stupid enough to post said pictures on an internet site where your parents check?

You and your friends seem pretty stupid to me.

#61 - On 03/15/2009 at 1:57am by marrymejulietx

Yeah, fuck parents having Facebooks.

#62 - On 03/15/2009 at 2:31am by greedy_dead_soul

Wow, why are so many people saying "that's why you don't friend your parents on facebook." Um. They're your parents. I'm pretty sure they'd talk to you and ask you why you haven't accepted their friend requests at some point. Once they friend you, there's not really any getting out of it.

But yeah. That would be your friends' fault, not yours, so I don't know why there are so many "you deserved that".

#63 - On 03/15/2009 at 2:48am by zebendyone

don't friend your mom. dumbass.

#64 - On 03/15/2009 at 3:40am by Leviathan

#63: It is not the friends' fault. the poster did not have to go to the party if they knew they could get in trouble.

this is why you hide tagged photos! you can add them yourself to your own album if you want once to you are tagged, that way no one can see them before.

#65 - On 03/15/2009 at 3:49am by lyssalicious

lol, this happened to my step-sister. Soooo not a smart idea to put stuff on facebook that your parents might be mad about. Keep it to yourself.

#66 - On 03/15/2009 at 4:00am by cobalt_light

PWND.

#67 - On 03/15/2009 at 4:11am by fingersforteeth

thats priceless...your mom is unbelievably hilarious. youll appreciate it when youre in college and not in high school anymore

#68 - On 03/15/2009 at 4:31am by lizzard1919

i dont understand how ur mom could comment on ur tagged pictures unless she's friend with the person who tagged u :S
im kinda confused!

#69 - On 03/15/2009 at 5:04am by bkt808

NEVER accept friend requests from parents.
Were the pictures like something bad or were you just not supposed to go?

#70 - On 03/15/2009 at 6:50am by drinkupgorgeous

what does OP stand for?

#71 - On 03/15/2009 at 8:27am by happygolucky9

Why are your mother friends with your friends on facebook?

I call fake

#72 - On 03/15/2009 at 9:30am by Bakke

Privacy settings: You should use them.

#73 - On 03/15/2009 at 9:46am by arms_akimbo

It's only a matter of time before my parents do something similar... >_>

#74 - On 03/15/2009 at 9:50am by Breadstix

Win.

#75 - On 03/15/2009 at 10:35am by ZeroGravity107

Good. Don't be stupid...if your parents have access to your photos, don't go out doing something that will get you into trouble. It can't be that hard.

#69, you can see all tagged photos of that person in a section called 'Added by others'. It's different than Myspace.

#76 - On 03/15/2009 at 10:40am by totalx

#5. Facebook is a privilege, learn to use it responsibly.

#77 - On 03/15/2009 at 11:33am by justjayit

Maybe you shouldn't fucking party, douche nozzle. It's your own damn fault. I would've beat the shit out of you with everything I could find if you did something that Godawful stupid. Next time, don't fucking go to parties. And if you do, don't whine when you get grounded because you're fucking stupid.

#78 - On 03/15/2009 at 1:04pm by btyler

#78, relax. The kid wants to have a good time, and needs to learn how to use facebook privacy settings.

Mom ftw.

#79 - On 03/15/2009 at 3:07pm by xpapercutsx

Owned.

#80 - On 03/15/2009 at 3:48pm by u2fanatic2012

I would NEVER accept friend requests from my family that's just stupid.

#82 - On 03/15/2009 at 8:08pm by JeWbOy101

#83 - On 03/15/2009 at 9:32pm by DeltaMindset

your mom is fucking rad (:

#84 - On 03/15/2009 at 9:44pm by yournot_myhero

WHY would you think it's a good idea to have family on Facebook? Oyyyy....

#85 - On 03/15/2009 at 10:36pm by annis

hahahahaha

#86 - On 03/15/2009 at 11:55pm by kouklitsa105

It's so weird to me that parents have facebooks. I don't understand what would compel an adult to want to connect with people the way teenagers do. It's kind of asinine, if you ask me.

#87 - On 03/16/2009 at 12:03am by juicebahx

hahaha, thats why you reject your parents. that's exactly what i did, and i know i'd be in a shitload of trouble if i had added them

#88 - On 03/16/2009 at 12:42am by BlackTooth93

Ah, kids. They don't realize just how many people can see their stuff on Facebook. They don't even have to be on your friend list to see it, either.

#89 - On 03/16/2009 at 1:49am by NecroSen

why the hell would you add your mother on FB to begin with...thats just asking for trouble....

#90 - On 03/16/2009 at 1:53am by urdakissass

Thank God my parents don't use Facebook

#91 - On 03/16/2009 at 3:34am by Fozzitude

your mom's on facebook... FYL

hahaha I'm lucky in that my mom parties with me.... I got grounded once for ditching my prom date b/c he was going to a party w/ a lot of drinking.

#92 - On 03/16/2009 at 12:43pm by It_Doesnt_Matter

hahha kevin diau!!!!

#93 - On 03/16/2009 at 3:17pm by ad1912

& this is why you don't accept friend requests from people that could rat you out to your parents.

#94 - On 03/16/2009 at 3:49pm by broken_lungs

limited profiles. they won't see your photos.

#95 - On 03/16/2009 at 4:44pm by ase97

for your mom to comment on all your photos that you were tagged in, assuming they weren't your photos, your friends have her as a friend.
that's why you make certain parts of your profile limited.

#96 - On 03/16/2009 at 4:46pm by court89cc

Harsh way to learn about facebook's privacy settings.

#97 - On 03/16/2009 at 5:07pm by gigglepants

don't u hate it when people try to be cool. i think thats how myspace died... too many old people...

#98 - On 03/16/2009 at 5:14pm by graysky101

and thats y facebook should have stayed college students only

#99 - On 03/16/2009 at 9:12pm by sage101

never friend your parents lol

#100 - On 03/16/2009 at 9:13pm by sensual_kidney

hahaha this is awesome, i heart ur mom :)

#101 - On 03/16/2009 at 10:06pm by Superman8

OMG i would cry hahah

#102 - On 03/16/2009 at 10:14pm by Jmac_3108

Heh, my dad's a friend on my Facebook, and I didn't limit my profile because I have nothing to hide (and if I did limit him or reject his friend request, he'd think I was hiding something.) Haven't done anything ground-worthy, of course, but he does yell at me every time I use swear words in my status...

#103 - On 03/17/2009 at 4:16am by ProudNerd

i think it's so funny that parents have facebooks. my mom is lucky she can check her email correctly.

#104 - On 03/17/2009 at 5:08am by karenbear

Thats what you get for having your mother on your facebook.

#105 - On 03/17/2009 at 11:52am by lifepwns

Facebook: The new face of child rearing.

Way to go!

#106 - On 03/17/2009 at 2:56pm by Jali_Malcolm

haha.. my dad has a facebook too.. but i blocked him from seeing my pics =)

#107 - On 03/17/2009 at 6:01pm by yayiii89

Yeah, you should just set them to limited profile viewing.

#108 - On 03/17/2009 at 6:56pm by Condie31

ahh! never ever friend your parents! at least put them on the limited list!

#109 - On 03/17/2009 at 6:58pm by idkyou

@#7- if one of your friends is tagged in a photo, then you can see that photo even if you're not friends with the person who uploaded them.

#110 - On 03/18/2009 at 4:00am by wotchersarah

I think your mom is my hero.

privacy settings fool, also dont let ur friends friend ur mom cuz thats retarded and then ur fucked regardless

fuck u goody goodies
if u'd be fine having ur mom look at pics of every part of ur life ur life sucks balls or ur into some weird oedipus shit

goddamn old ppl shouldnt be on fb, that shit is wack

#115 - On 03/19/2009 at 7:42pm by Glayden

Genius! Busted! LOLz0rzz

#116 - On 03/20/2009 at 2:56pm by space

maybe you shouldnt accept your parents as facebook friends...
especially if you're still living at home.

#117 - On 03/21/2009 at 2:15am by karebear16

i agree with # 4! u totally deserve what came 2 u my friend!

#118 - On 03/21/2009 at 2:58am by hattar

Can't you only comment if you're friends with the person who had uploaded the pictures?
At least you now know to not allow your parents to friend request your friends, let alone not use the privacy setting for your own profile.

#119 - On 03/21/2009 at 10:49pm by Foobie

i always said the internet was a double edged sword.

#120 - On 03/22/2009 at 2:47pm by mrtrixxxter

and that would be what you get for being friends with your parents on facebook, or letting your friends be friends with your parents...

#121 - On 03/23/2009 at 7:17pm by rosesneverdie18

Thants why you dont add ANY relatives or close family friends to your facebook or MySpace.

And, what the heck is up with old (well, not old but adult adult) people having facebooks? (the married ones not the single ones)

They have other things to do during thier time... i hope...

#123 - On 03/30/2009 at 6:53pm by lifesux_luvktae

thats pretty much fucked up... Thats why i don't let my mom use a pc ;)

#124 - On 03/31/2009 at 11:22am by bassmaster_pat

And that's why you don't add family on Facebook

#125 - On 04/13/2009 at 8:15am by The_Suit_Guy

...Can't 95% come up with anything better than "AND THATS Y U DONT ADD UR FAMBLYZ ON FACEBOOK LOL" or "USE UR PRIVASY SETTINGZ"? Seriously. After about five times, the OP (and anyone reading comments) gets tired of it pretty quick.

That aside, I definitely agree with those who have said that you shouldn't put anything you don't want family seeing on the internet...or better yet, don't put yourself in compromising situations like that. Seriously, is it that hard to control yourself in public?

#126 - On 04/28/2009 at 10:21pm by may_cause_fail

LMAO imagine getting like 50 notifications and all of them saying your grounded by your mom! thank you you've just been added to my favorites(:

#127 - On 05/21/2009 at 8:24pm by xO_starstruck_xO

thats why socail net working sites are for friends, not family!!

#128 - On 06/04/2009 at 3:36am by kennington

Why would you add your mom to facebook friends?

#129 - On 06/07/2009 at 4:08am by capricaz

#129, it's mor often the mom who adds you, and if you don't accept she gets more and more suspicios and after a while, it's sooo much worse than it was in the beggining.

#130 - On 06/13/2009 at 4:04am by Wendelaa

HAHAHAH!! My dad called me in once, to have a "talk" about the semi-blaspehmous comment i made on my sisters picture.
Then i figured out how to block my parents from seeing stuff.
Unfortunately i didnt know you could block people until after I stupidly added my youth pastor, who publicly commented on a conversation i had on my status, telling me to"be careful about the things i write online" and to "tell my parents about the conversation before he does" (It wasnt even that bad..we were joking about a friend of ours being lame cause he missed a party due to saving kids in russia) He then printed it out, to hold against me. And i had to apologize before he talked to my parents, cause they didnt want to be whined at (they didnt care. hahah) gah...I hate adultss who think kids shouldnt have any privacy.

Would you please stop posting on failblog. You're obviously a complete idiot, seeing as you dyed your grandmother's/sister's wedding dress green for St. Patrick's Day.
