I don't know why you commenters are saying the dad is rude. Honesty with your kids is the way to go and to really get the point across, sometimes you have to leave a verbal zinger on your kids. My siblings and I got burned by our parents a lot but it made us realize our flaws. The OP probably won't be such an obvious skank now.
I don't know if your Dad is telling the truth or not, but I still give him props for coming up with the remark so quickly! lol.

It's one thing to point out issues that your feel your children need to recognize, and I'm all for parents talking to their kids about stuff like this. If I had kids and I thought they were being easy, I'd talk to them about it too. But to say something like this (in a non-joking way) just strikes me as being insulting and demeaning, and not an effective way to get your point across.

Lots of times parents think they know it all when really they don't! My own mother called me "easy" and "a whore" to my FACE because I "sleep with every guy who smiles at me" and it was all just assumptions...I started having boyfriends at the age of 14, now I'm 22 and married, I've had 6 boyfriends total including my husband and yes I did date more than that...but I only slept with 3 guys, also including my husband...so just because I had fun going out on dates and hanging out with guys my parents assumed I'm sleeping with everyone which I never did...!
So who's to say that the OP's parents really know for a fact how many guys she's slept with...they probably don't have the slightest idea unless they spy on her wherever she goes...
