The father held his baby daughter in his hands near the same time his girlfriend was being born. They are on the exact same level as far as maturity goes. There is no comparison between brother/sister and same age couples because the level of maturity is equal and appropriate.

While I get that that would be a little difficult to get used to, if they are both happy, then you need to learn to be happy for them.

This same thing happened to me two years ago. My dad (age 43) started dating a girl 18 years old.
My girlfriend is 17 years old.

My dad's been with this girl for at least 5 years. He's 52, she's 26... I'm 27. They just had a baby girl and I couldn't be happier about that. It was hard at first when I found out, since he was still with my mom, but after a while I realized he's happy, I met his girlfriend about a year and a half ago and she's nice, we get along very well -maybe the fact that we're the same age helps? hehe-. It can seem weird, but it's not that bad once you get used to it.
