Today, my husband called me “my little zebra”. I gave birth a month ago, and I’ve kept a few stretch marks. FML

aw, come on, he's just trying to say that he doesn't care if you have strechmarks or not. you should be lucky with a guy like that.

I understand about the stretch marks making you feel self conscious. But... 'my little zebra' is really cute. Maybe the tone he said it in wasn't? I'd rather a guy accept all my flaws and make light of them to show me he doesn't care about them than secretly contemplate them. He sounds like he loves you.

yeah if he's nice about it, then I would think it's okay. At least then you know he doesn't really mind them, rather than refusing to acknowledge them at all and having you wonder.

That, and come on, Zebras are adorable! Tigers, now they're even cuter, as cubs, of course.

7, 9, 13, 14, 16, and 17 are all right. Who cares about stretch marks ? Lighten up! I'd take it as a compliment. "My little zebra" doesn't sound like an insult at all.. it sounds to me like he's proud of you for birthing his child.

okay i be the first one to say it. congrats on your baby!! and dont worry about the stretch marks!

Hey, be proud of them. They're battle scars!

It must not be easy giving birth...which is kind of why I'm scared if I get pregnant.

While I agree with those who said that he *probably* didn't mean for it to be offensive or taunting and meant it as a term of endearment, he should've figured out by now that women are self-conscious about their images, ESPECIALLY when it comes to men whose opinions they care very much about. Personally, I think I'd be a bit miffed (I can't say, since I've never been pregnant and don't have stretch marks) but I agree with #15.

Well I think that's kinda sweet. They're a part of you, and rather than ignoring them your husband is embracing them! I'm sure he didn't mean any harm.
