Yeah this was in June. - SORRY! I tried to submit it earlier this year, but it wouldn't work. And my parent's cuss around me. A lot. lol. Oh and did I forget to mention? My mom's the one who dragged me to the auditions. And he came up to me AFTER.

Other than the swearing, I have a little bit of love for the OP's dad purely because most school productions ARE rubbish and you have to sit though them, can't see your child because there are hundreds of them on stage and pretend you like them. The man simply verbalized (badly) what a lot of us are thinking.
True. And all of us parents think our child is displaying true talent and has an unbelievable stage presence, but everyone else sucks! Your child's time on stage flies by in seconds, but when he or she is not on stage, time seems to be going backwards. You start to accept theories that time isn't constant and linear, but time warps really do exist.

A school play during the second week of September??? School hasn't even been in session long enough to choose a cast for one.
Has it ever occurred to you that a ton of FMLs are submitted months after the fact, if not even years in some cases? (We've had people who posted FMLs before reply in comments and explain it was years before and all.)
Some schools (specifically ones in the Southern Hemisphere) started way back in January. Plenty of time cast :)
What does how long FML's been around have to do with it? I've tried to submit stuff that happened years ago.
That happened to me earlier this year. My dad came up to me after the show and was like "Where were you?" I was a main character. Ouch dad.

You should pull out a video of your birth or your parents' wedding, if one exists, and watch it as a family. As it's ending, turn to him and say, "Where the **** were you? The show sucked." He'll understand :D
