hell yea, teach him not to touch your shit
LMAO!!! I think all of you are reading this comment wrong... I'm hearing a kind of dead pan quality about it, thereby making this comment HILARIOUS to me... I think #1 just has a very interesting sense of humor... something like Paul Mooney or Chris Rock...
if they were amish they wouldnt b on the computer
huge lol at all the replies. joooooke.
You spelled "retarded" wrong, you "retarted idiot". I wasn't beaten as a child, and I'd like to think I'm not a "retarted idiot".
what does that have anything to do with it?
wow people obviously #1 was joking, god damn it people can't even joke about beating there kids anymore what has the world come to?
He's six!
#202 - On 06/20/2009 at 12:08pm by FerreThoughts
Thanks, Captain Obvious. (to #87)
Yeah, because a 6-year-old has the money to pay for it. Idiot. People like you and #63 (and others that are talking along the same lines), I sure hope you don't have kids... or the would be abused kids. You seem to have no understanding of children... you know that at that age, you probably didn't have the sense to know the difference. Seriously, idiots.
haha #1 is an epic win. I don't condone it, but that's just an awesome comment
you forgot one thing, BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THE SON! "Spare the rod, spoil the child."
yes because amish people have internt. because that would make sense. *rolls eyes*
Uhhh.... I think a 6 year old would know that it is just an expression...
But sorry for your loss...of that phone!
most wouldn't. since they don't own cell phones and palm pilots lol. i have a few 6 year old cousins. they don't know cell phone/hand held expressions because they don't own one
I have a six year old and he certainly wouldn't understand that expression. I don't think he would bury my phone either, however, but then again he also understands the difference between a living, breathing thing and say....a palm pilot.
When I was 6 I was out repairing my broken ps1 with a solder.
Kids are thick as shit now.
I would be sooo pissed. Especially since it's hard to be mad at your kid since he was trying to help.
#3 - On 06/19/2009 at 5:18pm by Seti
what, you left your son alone. who was watching him?!
Kids don't need to be watched 24/7. He can go around the house without having someone helicoptering over him.
It's still not the best idea to leave a child that age home alone.
Of course, this is something to suspect in a society gone haywire.
his father is probably there just not watching the kid
I'm sure his father was home, just not right where he was.
Edit- Nevermind, I clearly didn't read the FML very well. Maybe someone was "watching" him while he was out running erands. Or maybe he just had to run to the store or something. I'm sure most 6 year olds can spend 5 minutes at home alone without killing themselves.
Yeah... I'm not sure about where you live, but where I live it's not actually legal to leave a six-year-old home alone.
It isn't legal to leave a 6 yr old child at home alone. You have to be at least 13. Who was watching the child? If someone was, they obviously weren't doing a very good job of it so make them buy you a new phone ;D. If no one was watching your child, you're a fucking idiot.
Yeah, that's definitely illegal. That, and he's six years old, so yes, he does need someone watching him. I mean, obviously, if he's digging a burial for a dead cellphone, he needs someone watching him.
#203 - On 06/20/2009 at 12:23pm by curryndricegirll
It's possible he was being watched, and the babysitter just thought he was playing in the yard, not putting the phone to rest.
awww, he is so cute.
YOUR foult for keeping it within his reach.
haha. and i dont think it will stop working just kus you barried it.
so LAWL. :)
#6
"...our shovel was on the floor, muddy and wet."
I'd assume it was raining or wet out... soo the phone was probably soaked in the process and has mud in every little opening. Id be shocked if it still worked.
#14 - On 06/19/2009 at 5:23pm by Seti
"foult kus barried"?
I mean, I realize that not everyone speaks English as a first language but COME ON?!!
Why do so many people think it's cute when brat kids do brat things?
#99 - On 06/19/2009 at 7:02pm by Ra
#27 Funny thing is that people who make most grammar and spelling mistakes are those for whom English actually *is* their first language...
#27 FTW .
Aww , thats adorable . YDI for keeping it in your kids reach , and leaving him alone at the age of 6 .
Yeah, it really isn't funny so much as it is sad.
it's not a brat thing. it's cute because he had good intentions. i mean, it's not like he did it on purpose, because that would be bratty. she said, "Cellphone died." So to him, death means it needs to be buried, and she said that he was doing it so she wouldn't feel bad. I don't see how that's bratty.
#204 - On 06/20/2009 at 12:25pm by curryndricegirll
That is just the cutest thing :) Sounds like you've got a very sweet and caring son.
#7 - On 06/19/2009 at 5:19pm by Julle
i agree thats so cute, i assume you have insurance
Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
that's so sweet. not a FYL at all. $200 really isn't that much compared to a story you will be able to tell for decades at family reunions and thanksgiving dinner.
#10 - On 06/19/2009 at 5:21pm by Lehk
Yeah, so sweet because OP totally has $200 to drop on a new palm pilot because his or her child is a retard.
Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
ydi if for calling it 'dead' in front of a young kid
What else are you supposed to call it?
Making a Veggie Tales joke. BRB
Haha :) it should still work though.
YDI for leaving the kid home alone!
But it still works....right?
I mean, unless you turn it on (you can't because is dead) then there is no problem, dry it and blah blah blah.
Or bury your son.
If it's really a Palm product it should, they're actually really tough (one of the big reasons I keep buying from them, considering how clutzy I am). Wipe it off, dry it out and it should be fine.
For all you kids who are so quick to judge, think about all the babysitters you've ever had. Did any of them watch you all the time? Chances are they sat on the couch watching TV and helped you out when you asked for something. There probably was somebody there watching her son and that somebody probably just wasn't paying much attention.
I know that's the way I babysit. Though I do tend to get a bit concerned when the shovels are being broken out. And when they go outside, I check them every so often. And don't let them out when it's raining, or after it has rained. Sounds like a horrible babysitter to me.
When I babysit, I actually do watch the kids the whole time. That's my job, and I admit I'm a big stickler for doing what I think is right. If I want to watch TV or relax while I'm babysitting, I try to coax the kids into doing it with me. So I can say that there are better babysitters, and the OP should find one.
I know when I babysit, actually I do my job. You're not getting paid to sit inside and look out the window every few minutes to make sure the kids aren't running in the street. Sure, parents don't always monitor their own kids like hawks, but see, if a babysitter doesn't, and something happens, the babysitter gets fired. Obviously.
If a six year old has access to a shovel, a real shovel, there's a problem with what the sitter calls "watching your kids".
This is why I'm thinking it might be the wife who watched the kid, because I can see this being more likely to happen.
If there was a babysitter, I judge the babysitter. When I babysit I play with the kids the entire time. I bring activities that I think they'll enjoy doing that I will enjoy doing with them, let them choose the activity, and then I do the activity with them. Only exception is when I'm there past their bedtime, and in that case I put the kid to bed and then watch tv or do one of the activities I brought for the kid.
Maybe the baby-sitter was taking a dump?
ydi for having a phone
ydi for having a child
ydi for having a shovel
Please, this isn't the OP's fault
Can I have $200? Didn't think so. Pfft. Only $200, my ass. I don't know about you, but normal people would prefer to spend their money on something other than replacements for things they already have. Most people work hard for their money. Maybe you mooch off of your parents, but once you start having to earn money, you'll realize you hate to part with it unnecessarily.
that is just cute. Please don't be mad at him though. Explain what he did was wrong and leave it at that. And no, not FYL for the phone thing... having a kid like that should make you happy - he cares. That is more than a lot of kids do.
Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment.
YDI for having a kid. Beat it.
no worries, nobody uses "palm pilots" anymore =)
Get yourself a crackberry.
Your fault for leaving a 6 year old alone...way to go good parent
That cute...but it really sucks that you're out $200 because of it. I don't think warranties even cover this kinda thing.
You're one to talk, for someone who apparently can't use a spellchecker.
why do you complain about a dollar symbol coming after the monetary amount, but spell 'why', 'dollar', and 'of' incorrectly?
Y does everybody put l the dolar sign after the amount if money? It should be $200. YDI for being a dumbass
Awww. That's really cute. :) Sucks that it's ruined, but that's still really sweet.
Your son sounds so sweet. It's nice that he wanted to help you out.
...Still, though. FYL. Hope you got insurance!
You should tell him to play dead, then bury him.
That's beyond adorable.
I apologize if the phone no longer works,
but applaud you for raising such an kind-hearted son.
But.. perhaps the lessons 'Hands to ourselves' and 'If it's not yours, don't touch it,' need some reviewing ;D
@1...NEVER...EVER...Say or type that again mmk? thanks! (:
Violence is NEVER EVER NEVER EVER the answer, so shut up now... cause that was just plain stupid :D
OP: At least your son was trying to help? In his brain, he thought it was useless probably.. so be happy that he would do something, that shows that he gives a damn about people other than himself right? yepp (: aha sucks though..
That's too cute! Obviously the people saying to beat your child don't have children.
It's a shame all that "helpfulness" wears off about the time they're old enough to be of some use. Try to get the lil'bastard to do anything 10 years from now without resorting to threats or bribery. Parenthood sucks. :D
most ppl on fml are idiots. not you, i mean ppl who comment. anyway, when i was 6, i wasnt even that retarded! im not trying to be insulting but.... come on!
Awwwweee
that is the cutest thing ever
it's not so cute that it's a 200$ phone
BUT it's still cute
what is wrong with some of the people commenting on this post?
I think people just purposefully like being trolls....ergh.
Wait... why was your 6 year old home alone? If he was supervised, he wouldn't be burying cell phones. You don't leave 6 year old children home alone.
That sucks about your phone, but still is a really cute story! At least he cares!
awwww thats soo cute but sorry about your phone
cute!
#54 - On 06/19/2009 at 5:53pm by _itsmeeex1bitchz
Awwh, that's really adorable. ^_^
You left him home alone? and its just dirt it wont ruin the phone. unless it was really wet mud...
"...shovel was wet and muddy..."
Durr
not choosing your words wisely FTL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps the child wasn't left alone? The OP's son could have been there with mom (it was posted by a man) or someone else there. At least his child was trying to help.
Sorry about your phone though, those can be easily replaced.
#63 - On 06/19/2009 at 5:59pm by Griffay
In a way that's really cute, but I'd also be very mad.
Just get a new Iphone, no biggie.
Also just laugh it off and say too bad I'll tell your prom date that. ;-]
I don't suppose there's any chance he put it in a little cardboard casket first...
the kid could have been with his mom or with an older sibling...why would you jump to the conclusion that he was home by himself?
you left your 6 year old at home?
Sorry, but that's kinda cute.
Not gonna lie, that's adorable!! Sorry about your palmpilot though. Stick it in a bag of rice if it got wet. Friends have told me it works wonders on unfortunately moist electronic devices.
Reason #84342345564567456 not to have a child.
Stories like this reaffirm my desire never to have children of my own. I'm going to be a crazy cat lady! yay!
Who was watching your son while he did this?
#76 - On 06/19/2009 at 6:18pm by bee13
Not going to lie, that sucks. Hope you have insurance.
At the same time it is an insanly adorable story to tell now! Good job for rasing a kid who is that caring!
This made me chuckle a little.
why was no one watching a 6 year old?
Sorry, but #1 is correct. If you don't, they will grow up stupid. We don't want that, do we?
Uh... why was no one watching him?
YDI if you left a 6 year old home alone.
your fault for a.) leaving him home alone, and b.) for raising such a stupid son
#89 - On 06/19/2009 at 6:35pm by ericpowpow
Who still uses Palm Pilots?
thats kinda sweet if u think about it.... hes only 6 dont be mad
#79, you sound like a total cutie; but 6 years old? The kid's gotta be a retard.
Good to see you taught him well.
*sarcasm*
I dont understand why everyone is jumping to conclusions. The FML never said the kid was alone.
@ #10 What the in the fuukk this is yet another example of the sissification of america
Aw. Well...it was a sweet gesture...I guess....
If I'm not mistaken, by "Palm Pilot" he means the new Palm Pre, which came out June 6 and is $200. This is probably not an old Palm Pilot, and if it is, just a great excuse to get the Palm Pre ;-).
#103 - On 06/19/2009 at 7:20pm by Trojan995
get an iPhone. it is a sign.
So you leave a 6 year old home alone? Does your child play withashes too? That was a reference 2another FML
#108 - On 06/19/2009 at 7:39pm by RJB
aw little guy was trying to help. how sweet. I bet it still worked to huh. better than most six year olds. I covered the walls in lipstick, pooped behind the couches and set the garage on fire. or so I hear.
Why was he home alone if hes 6?!
#110 - On 06/19/2009 at 7:48pm by onyx_macewan
then why was he alone long enough to go and bury a fricken palm pilot?
#112 - On 06/19/2009 at 7:50pm by onyx_macewan
that's so cute and hilarious! how could you even be mad at him, lol.
hes 6... there's no way he would have nearly enough money to pay for it...
the OP never said he was home alone
and lots of parents let there kids play out in the backyard or w/e... some yards are fenced and safe for kids
and the OP might have thought he would just be gone a few minutes and got caught in a line or something
i have a 6 year old cousin and this sounds like something she might do
unlike you people who are saying there retarded, HE'S 6!!! your probrably 50 year olds with nothing better to do than complain about someone whos life hardly just started and who doesn't know EVERYTHING there is to know....no reason to beat him he thought he was doing the right thing just talk to him about it
and your son sounds cute and thoughtful:D fyl though
aww he was just trying to help! he's only 6. neither YDI or FYL.
kids just do the darndest things =D
LOL!!!!! I can see tht happening
Apparently the kid is retarded, so be nice.
I understand that 6 year-olds do not need to be watched like a hawk, but if whoever was home with kid (6 is too young to be left home alone) was absent enough for him to get a shovel, dig a hole, and bury a phone, I think there are some supervision issues, so YDI.
Look on the bright side. You can find the hole where he buried it and dig it back up. At least you aren't from a culture where they burn their dead. Fire + 6 yr. old = no house.
Um.. your kid's dumb. And you shouldn't leave him unsupervised and with access to tools and lawn implements. So I suppose FYL and YDI.
kinda sucks, but you have to admit, thats pretty cute (:
Looks like it's time to get a new son.
(And before I get mobbed by people who don't know how to take a joke, I'll let you know that I am just joking.)
Palm Pilot? How quaint. I was unaware that anyone still uses palm pilots.
Awe...you told your kid the phone was dead so he buried it. How sweet. That's quite a kind-hearted kid you have. He takes things literally, so you're going to need to watch how you word what you tell him.
that is actually very adorable. this is so not an FML
if you guys reading this want to see some good videos of Things That Deserver To Be Destroyed, follow the following link - http://www.youtube.com/PlyWoodProductions
aww lol thts soo cutee ;D srry for ur fone..
Kids bury the darndest things.
That's adorable and maddening all at once. Kids crack me up.
FYL.
At least he didn't treat your phone as a goldfish and flush it down the toilet?..
ok look i know it's not cool and expensive but it is one of the most adorable things i have ever heard on this site
Why was the six year old unsupervised?
Well i mean hes a kid.
They do stupid stuff.
my brother once locked my mom in the bathroom using rope. we bring it up at every family gathering and with his fiance every time we can. now it is your job to use this story to embarrass him at every chance when he is older.
he's young. can't do much but yell at him and beat the living day lights out of him if he decides to do it again.
Why did you leave you 6 year old home alone where he could get the shovel and bury your phone???
I call fake. Or bad parenting. REALLY bad.
aww well he wanted a funeral for your phone because he thought like people it was really dead
it's the thought that counts?
That's soo adorable!!
#152 - On 06/19/2009 at 11:55pm by Princess_LC
Why do people post the same thing over and over
At least he wanted to make u feel better
i think the real question here is how does a 6 year old take the shovel, dig a hole in the backyard, bury a phone &then cover the hole (I'm guessing he did) all by himself?
That sucks! After getting it buried, whether it works or not, you can't even be mad at the kid for trying to help you out... double whammy!
#157 - On 06/20/2009 at 12:05am by colt45
Kid's take EVERYTHING literally just a note to remember
Haha, Awh. All these comments are so mean! I think thats kind of cute. haha
You guys can call me when it becomes "adorable" for your son to withdraw $200 from your bank account and burn in the streets. When I receive that call, I'll know it's time for me to commit suicide due to the world's stupidity.
Unfortunately, this story comes dangerously close.
Yeah. Idc that pol think that babysitters actually DO pay attention. It's not just the sensenof sight. You would hear a 6 year old goin outside, pulling out a shovel, climbing up to take the phone, and then burying it. People notice these things. Way to leave your child alone. You apparently did not have a sitter OP.
How did your son get the shovel ydi if he has access 2it and you r lucky it wasn't a more expensive fone
A freaking PalmPilot? Whoa, that takes me back. Buggy rides, Scott Joplin, the first gas lights in the streets, Palm Pilots...
Dont beat him like that fucking prick #1 said to , he's a dick for thinking he's funny and fyl for your dead phone.
Ahw that's cute!
Cmon guys he doesn't know better.
Lmao @ #1, I love you.
Ok so I'm going to make a few assumptions here which allows room for error. I would assume you don't keep your shovel around other household appliances such as brooms or cleaning supplies (most people keep them in the garage or tool shed or something of a similar nature). Which then leads me to assume that your child was very poorly attended while you were doing errands (because who lets their kids play where the tools are kept?) So while you're mourning over the loss of your expensive (since it's a palm pilot probably time to be replaced) have you taken the time to wonder what else your 6 year old has gotten into? Let's hope he's not yet strong enough to taste test the pesticides or start your lawn mower!! FYL for being a lazy, self centered parent!
If that were my kid he's be grounded beyond belief. And I'd be seriously concerned about his IQ.
it's remarkable how many people on this website don't understand children.
just because he is six doesn't mean he automatically understands everything.
everyone is saying that by that age he should understand to not use other people's stuff
well, he is probably learning that, but it's a process
children think extremely concretely so his thoughts were: this thing is dead, dead things get buried
i seriously hope most of the posters on this website NEVER have children
people stop saying at least he cared, or that's adorable. It's not. He broke the phone. He should be punished for it. Sometimes, the "it's the thought that counts" rule is not applied when the bad effect outweighs the good effect. (which in this case, there is none)
This one's tough to judge since I don't know how much effort you made to keep your electronics and graden tools out of your child's reach. If they were easily accessible to him, YDI. But if you had put them away and your son had to make a big effort to get them, that's more of an FYL.
The kid has to be a complete brainless retard if he's 6 and does that. I have a 6 year old brother and he is WAAAAAAAAY smarter than that.
Awww, that's so cute! :P Haha, sucks for you.
wtf? u left ur six year old child home alone?
I feel sorry for you, but next time you may want to keep your phone out of reach :)
next time tell your child you are a magician and can bring it back to life.
#178 - On 06/20/2009 at 2:46am by Mist_ress
Why are some of you assuming he left the kid alone? Maybe someone was in the house with the kid but they weren't paying enough attention. But anyway, sorry about your phone but if you ever get a new one keep it out of your child's reach next time.
#179 - On 06/20/2009 at 3:16am by Adulson
Well, did your phone survive?
I mean, as long as it's pretty tightly designed, it should still work as long as it was turned off and no actual moisture or water went into the panels.
You gotta admit it is kinda cute. better not have gotten mad with him.
The gesture was cute.
That's all.
=X
Should have beaten him...
lol Awwww how cute. Hopefully, it was still under warranty or whatever.
Maybe you should get into the habit of locking your expensive electronics in your bedroom, away from areas that your child(ren) can access?
ditto#4 YDI if someone was watching your kid instead of leaving the house with him alone, than this wouldn't have happened,
that's kind of cute actually
lolz someone has a future mortician on their hands.....or murderer.
Your son is very ahead for his age. Despite the probable loss of your phone, be glad that you have an intelligent son... just teach him some euphemisms.
guess what, palm pilots ARE dead
awww that's so sweet of him, he didn't know what you meant, so don't listen to the ppl on here!
haha that happend to me excapt it was my cousin and a ipod but ifound it
What can I say? At least, you can seek solace in the fact that your son is a very thoughtful little boy. lol
Haha this is in my top ten fmls
is it wrong of me that I find this rather adorable?
I need to quote George Carlin (who's my personal hero, by the way): "Kids are imbeciles". FYL, man.
awww thats kinda cute thoughhh
it sucks but at least you're kids considerate lol
America used to be a good place, now they beat their children, to you *retarded* idiots:Go fuck yourselves To the normal people: At least he was being considerate
To the OP: That sucks
#212 - On 06/20/2009 at 7:01pm by scateice
At least ur kid cares for u
Your son was probably trying to be respectful to you because he said he felt sorry for you.
Sorry 'bout your phone,though.=S
Did you check to see if it still worked?
Ignoring the money lost in that, it was a sweet idea.
FYL for having to get a new phone, but YLIA (Your life is awesome) for having such a sweet kid.
#215 - On 06/20/2009 at 7:20pm by Loverfli
YDI you need to supervise your kid!
I put YDI people people who have children always deserve it.
The moral of the story is don't leave your six-year-old child unattended. I'm sorry, but if your kid is unsupervised enough to go burying expensive things in the garden, that's neglect, doesn't matter who else is in the house.
awww haha thats so cute of your son to do that! he thought he was actually dead how cute but sorry bout that hahaa
#221 - On 06/20/2009 at 8:24pm by niksta
That's cute.
At least you know that you've taught him how to care =P
That is actually one of the cutest things I've ever heard.
Shitty, but cute.
you leave a six year old home alone?
nice .
Hopefully he doesn't bury you in your sleep! You ever think of that.
did you really leave your kid home alone? ydi.
OP, that really sucks but hey, on the bright side, at least your son is sweet and caring; he had good intentions, it was kinda adorable :)
awww that made me melt. but if it were my phone i wouldnt have felt like this. still, your son is such a nice kid. a bit misguided perhaps, but hes young.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ur son is hilarious hope u got insurance!!!!
thats sucks.. but cute story=)
aww that's cute ! hope you got an insurance as well..
aww i think that's cute :)
It's ok. They have *amazing* programs for the 'special' people these days, and most insurances cover it.
ydi for telling him it was dead....no wait, that only works when the kid is like 1....is your 6 year old retarded?
Did you seriously leave your 6 year old son alone at home while you went out to run some errands without your cell phone? That's a great idea! *facepalm*
All the people replying negatively to this obviously have never had a kid of their own. And thank God for that, you idiots would make terrible parents.
I agree. Shame on all of us for not being able to look past and completely ignore every single fault in a child, shame on us for not being able to worship a child simply because he/she is a child, and shame on us for not being able to completely deify a child and establish him/her as the ultimate right of the universe. Just to be clear, that whole speech was thick with sarcasm. It's one thing to love one's son/daughter despite all of his/her flaws. It's another to think that one's child and everything he/she does is absolutely right in every way, that one's child is perfect, and that one's child is the center of the universe. Parents should absolutely love their kids, but they should also be honest about them, both with the kids, and themselves. A six-year-old could be showing the early signs of a serial killer and people would still think it was cute.
Why was your 6yo not with you while you ran errands? THey should take him from you cunt.
YDi
#246 - On 06/25/2009 at 2:14am by acr91276
thats not really "FML status", thats just really cute.
omg, thats really messed up... :-/ FYL. Good Luck finding your phone!!!
FYL indeed but kids will be kids RIP palmpilot
You wouldn't think it's cute if it happened to you
#250 - On 06/30/2009 at 4:33am by toothdecay7758
I hope you've learnt not to anthropomorphize your personal electronics. It's not "dead", it's freaking /out of power/.
Or if you need to personalize, at least be accurate in your choice of words. If your phone is "dead", it is broken and non-salvageable. If it has a flat battery, it's merely "tired".
By being literal-minded, kids train you to be extremely precise with your language (I know I did when I was younger). A valuable lesson even if it came at the cost of a $200 phone. ;)
You guys are all fucked up. That kid is cute! And I paid for a $229 LG phone that gave me Cancer, so stop crying. FML
You don't have cancer, you stupid, lying waste of space. What could you possibly have to gain by saying that? The joke is not funny in the least. I'm not saying that because I'm offended by it; it's just a bad joke that doesn't really have anything funny about it. Think these things through next time, dumbass.

This is one of the things I hate most about the majority of the human race. Most people think anything a small child or a small, cuddly animal does is "so cuuuuute". Their response to anything a toddler, a puppy, or a baby (especially a baby) does is "awwwww". People would fawn over a baby if it just launched a nuclear missile. People say it's so cute because they don't know what they're doing. Well, then ask yourself this question. If a 25-year-old man had the emotional and mental maturity of a three-year-old due to brain damage, would it still be cute when he did something like this? It's time for people to stop deluding themselves and realize that anything these small cuddly animals do is only cute because the animal is cute in and of itself. However, if you overlook the animal's inherent appeal, you will realize that its action (i.e. peeing on the carpet or burying a palm pilot) is, in fact, NOT cute, but an extremely problematic nuisance for which you will have to pay to repair its damage. Burying a palm pilot IS a problem. The kid may be excused in this instance seeing as he misconstrued your language and was not aware of the difference between saying an electronic device is "dead" and saying an animal is "dead". Be sure that you let the kid know his mistake. In the future, try not to use ambiguous language when speaking near your small child.

I think it's sweet... OP just ask where the burial ground is to lay some flowers. Then come back at night
Lol
Ydi for being misleading!
Your ohone didn't "die".
The battery died...
Hell technically even the battery didn't die, it just was drained if its cells!
Duh!!
I feel sorry for you for owning a $600 Palm.
@all of the comments immediately followin #1: it was pretty obvious that they were kidding, you should really lighten up!
OP,it's no big deal, just try to find it. At least your son is thoughtful, that's a really useful quality. And unfortunately it seems like not enough of the world is thoughtful anymore.
your son is stupid nuff said , my sister who is the same age is far smarter and knows that when a battery of a phone is out it doesen't mean its dead
He didnt know! He thought thats what you do when things die even phones... This is cute! And YDI if you dont have insurance on it. So there. Everyone with a little kid should have insurance on their phone.
