Aw honey, most women do. It really isn't your fault, it's just extremely difficult for most women to reach orgasm during sex. So rather than make you feel bad, or get too badly chaffed, women will fake it.

The fact that she told you is a good thing! She's trying to be honest. Here's my recommendation: Get her to use a vibrator on "the man in the boat" while you have sex. It will give her enough stimulation to reach climax. Go forth and experiment!
