Today, I picked up my 17 years old daughter after a late night movie in down town and got pulled over by a cop. He questioned us for a solicitation. Because a girl wearing casual clothing leaning into a car window couldn't be considered as much a prostitute as the thirty year old in short shorts wearing a ton of make-up. If it was dark, the girl probably leaning in the window complaining about how it is much to early to leave, and a possibly nice looking car, what would you think? When I was thirteen a cop rolled up next to me after my dad stopped in the van to toss me the house keys while I was walking the dog to ask if I had almost been abducted. Kids being talked to by a person in a car and girls leaning in windows are things cops are meant to look out for. This cop stepped over the line, but there are red flags.

There's definitely a connection.

The OP is just assuming that's what the officer was thinking and added that for extra comedic effect.

The cop's been out there for hours, bored, and he sees something that could be soliciting. He cracked a joke because he felt silly when he found it was innocent.

It's another FML that doesn't give enough facts of the circumstances to really evaluate coherently.
It sounds like the cop was bored, pulled over a random car and was making 'small talk' as he evaluated the situation. Cops deal with a different sampling of people than the rest of us, so they have a different sense of humor.
Doesn't sound like a valid FML to me, just life as we know it. No ticket, no body-cavity-search, no FML.

It's summer, and almost all the girls in my school are wearing tank tops and shorts. That doesn't mean they're all whores. Trying to look good doesn't make someone a whore.
In a car, only the top half of a person is visible to the outside, so the cop must have been assuming a lot.
It's not necessarily bad intentions on the cop's part though. (child) prostitution is a serious problem that cops are trying to eliminate, and they're bound to be more suspicious than usual if its late at night.

Please I'm a woman and I'll be the first one to admit that most girls dress like sluts nowadays. I went to a show and in the audience saw a girl who couldn't be more than 12 whose shorts barely stuck out from under her shirt. That is just not appropriate. I wish for the days where I could buy a pair of shorts that hit me at mid thigh. I haven't worn shorts in years because they don't sell them at a descent length anymore. Now I don't know how this girl was dressed but going by how most girls today, especially girls going downtown (you should see downtown Orlando at night), I can see how the cop might have come to his conclusion. Fashion styles change, so they're moving toward showing more skin. Guess what? That's been steadily happening for several generations. Just because more of a girl's body is exposed doesn't mean that she doesn't respect herself, and people her age will not look at her and think, "Hey, she's trying to seduce me." I call Bullshit. The way this fake FML is phrased, it was clearly written by an American. In this country we (for now) still have 4th amendment protections that preclude warrantless search and seizure without probable cause.
What you look like in the car is not enough cause to be pulled over and questioned. No cop in his right mind would do that. The reason cops use sting operations to catch prostitution customers is because it's so difficult to prove in court.
