Today, I was walking to work, when I slipped and landed on my tail bone. Worse still, my hot coffee went flying into my face. I currently can't see out of my left eye. FML

1. #2, are you trying to piss the grammar nazis off??? 2. #4, when you lose sight in one eye, you retain 80% of your vision but lose your depth perception so it wouldn't be too hard to type an FML

I feel your pain - I fractured my tailbone and it kills :(. Add this to the pain of hot coffee in your eye and I feel sorry for you D:

she can't see out if her left eye *hint hint*

Why would it be hard to type with one eye? If you covered one eye, you seriously wouldn't be able to type anymore? And since when does hard to type equal impossible? People can do things even if they are hard (<-- TWSS)

It still would be hard to see. God ppl chill!

stop it.... that is probably a lie, ur no dr

You don't need to be a doctor to know about vision limitations. However, you do NOT lose your depth perception. That part I know for a fact is false.

Actually there are both monocular (one eye) and binocular (two eyes) clues to depth perception - so yes, you would lose some (note: SOME) of your ability to judge distance. IIRC the binocular effect is mostly a triangulation system - i.e. with only one eye, fine judgement of distances would be a bit off, but by and large you'd manage ok.

Well I'm definitely no expert on the area, but I just knew you retained depth perception even without the use of an eye. I totally believe you when you say people will lose *some*, but I just knew he was incorrect, as I can percieve depth with vision in one eye-- and I had the urge to point this out haha Thanks for the detailed explination.

hahhah, what a comedian. good thing you aren't stupid. (sarcasm)
