Today, I canceled my dental check-up because I'm getting busy at work. Then, as I was flossing, my finger slipped, I heard a "crunch" from one of my fillings, and I now have a killer toothache. It's costing me double to go to the dentist because it's now an emergency call. FML

@ #20: Totally. I had two 20 year old silver/mercury fillings and they were great for many years, but in recent years they needed redoing. 'Cause things don't last forever!

How the heck could your break a filling with your tooth?
Seems a bit unlikely to me, but I do feel your pain. Dentists are a double hate for me. I hate needles and I hate the sound/feeling of drilling in my mouth. Both of which I know will happen the next appointment I have with the dentist as I have a hole in an old filling. :(

YDI for not having your priorities straight. If you have a denstist appointment, your boss will understand why you can't "get busy" with him/her that day.
