Today, my mom has a lawn chair and a cushion for it. Just putting the cushion on the chair would apparently have been boring, so she put it on the floor for the dogs. Once it was saturated with dirt and dog hair, weeks later, she finally considered it ripe to go on the chair and be used by humans. FML

Today, I got a call from a police department saying that if I didn't move my car from a store's parking lot within the next 15 minutes, they were going to tow it and charge me for the fee. I was at work and the reason I parked it there is because it started smoking and almost caught fire. FML

Today, I attended my school's special invitation-only awards ceremony, relieved that I was getting a much-needed scholarship. I watched all my friends go up and win scholarships. In the end, I only got a certificate for doing well on the PSAT. My whole family showed up for this. FML
