Today, it was report card day at swimming lessons. Because it was the last day, a little girl brought me flowers. She was the only kid in that class who didn't pass. FML

People are saying spend more time with her for her feelings' sake, maybe spend more time with her as an instructor and give her a bit more time if she's struggling to master stuff. Harder said than done with a whole class I know

While that's terrible and guilt inducing, passing someone who isn't a strong enough swimmer could be dangerous if not deadly. Just tell her that you like her so much that you wanted to see her again next session!
