Today, I was shopping in an upscale store. As I was changing, I heard one of the snobby saleswomen say to mine "You shouldn't bother. She isn't going to buy anything." Determined to "show her", I purchased everything I'd tried on. It came to around $500. My credit card was declined. FML

that's just... stupid. plain and simple. why on earth would you buy things you didn't even really want just to try to "show" a saleswoman? what does it matter really?

Since when is spending $500 considered an "upscale store"? Pretty sure you couldn't even buy one item at a real upscale store like Gucci or Prada for that...

That couldnt have been an "upscale" store unless what u tried on was one thing maybe. Upscale stores are way more expensive.

You could have just bought one item. Some stores actually tell their staff say things like that, to get people to buy stuff.

At least your card was declined. It saved you from wasting 500 dollars.

Yeah, you really showed her by adding to her salary and humiliating yourself.

The snob wasn't her saleswoman.

Show it anyway

So to give the bitchy saleswomen a lesson, you were about to buy 500 dollars woth of stuff you might not have been that intrested in ? Seems to me it was a win to get it declined and also wasting her bitcy time.
