Today, I got my first driving lesson from my dad. We traded seats, I started the car and his entire lesson was, "Go." FML

That's why you shouldn't have parents teach you to drive. They aren't the greatest teachers. You would also pick up their bad habits.

I'm assuming at some point during the last 15 years you've had opportunity to see people driving and could have picked up some of the skills necessary.
