Sorry, but…

Today, my nephew spent a long while enthusiastically telling me how amazing his new 3D TV system is. I felt his pain as his face turned white when he remembered that I'm blind in one eye since birth. FML

"Auntie Cyclops! Auntie Cyclops! Guess what? I got a new 3D TV, and . . . Oh, shit."

"look on the bright side" ..you should have just stopped there :-P

If you feel bad because you can't see the 'amazing' 3D effects, you're not missing out on anything, honestly.

Tell him that it's too bad he doesn't have 3 eyes so he can see this great 4D TV you just got.

57&44& OP: I know what its like on both sides. my fiancée is blind in one eye but people don't mean to rub it in... they dont think aboit and forget because they just don't see it as a big deal/handicap.

Dear #11. As someone who was born half blind in one eye, I've got to tell you two things. 1.) There is no medical technology that allows it to be fixed (otherwise we wouldn't have blind people in the world.) 2.) Rude much?

The best part of this is realizing there are so many people out there with the same problem. Most people don't understand. Easier with age, but having never had depth perception... Can't help but wonder what it's like.

I too haven't been able to see out of my eye since birth. I completely feel for the OP. It gets really annoying having to remind people all the time that no I can't see 3d and also won't pay the $15 or whatever to go to a 3d movie.

snap. my friends all expect me to pay to go see the 3d movie with them despite the fact i can't join in with the "fun" of the actual 3d

I thought I had posted here when I first saw this

Thats not a fml. I'm sorry for him. Imagine how bad he must feel

Poor little guy... I can imagine how horrible he feels. Makes me wanna just give you both hugs
