Today, I lost my job to the individual I just finished training. Within 2 hours after being escorted out, my old boss called and yelled at me for doing a lousy job. He was angry that the training was deficient and because the new person is as bad as I was. FML

Today, my boss scolded me for being too friendly to our customers and told me to back off and let them do their thing. Less than an hour after doing as he said, he scolded me again, this time for slacking off and not asking them if they needed help finding stuff. There goes my bonus. FML

Today, on my first day off in over a week of working for my new job, and covering for a sickness at work, I get called into work for an audit… which we failed due to a lack of training. Where is the manager who's supposed to be training me? On holiday in Spain. Oh and my partner is considering divorce due to work. FML

Today, at work, I took a call from an angry customer. After listening to his problem and fully explaining how we could fix it, he called me a stupid girl and said I need more training as I obviously know nothing about my job. I'm the company training coordinator. FML

OP: (1) Report the situation to HR. (2) Find a new job ASAP - Either your boss is a complete idiot or he’s a lying sack of shit who decided to move you to sales without actually telling at the time. Either way - It’s nothing but a miserly working for either an idiot or a lying sack of shit. So get out,as soon as you find a new job.

As a software developer the idea that people can randomly be moved into sales sounds like madness. "You're were surgeon, but now your job is fixing the MRI machines." I have a specific set of skills acquired over a decade. Moving me to something completely unrelated would make zero sense.

If you live in the US, and the job description you were given and agreed to does not include sales his reprimand and enforced sales training program is illegal. Report him to HR and if that doesn't work talk to your lawyer.
