Today, my boss told me he'd found my YouTube channel and was very disappointed that in my videos I’m always happy, yet when I’m at work I’m not, so he’d appreciate it if I could seem happier while at work. I work in a soulless office with grey walls, but sure, I’ll work on seeming happy. FML
Today, I went to a surprise birthday party for a friend. Everyone was hiding and waiting to yell "Surprise!" when I got a call from my mom. I was loudly discussing family gossip and trying to get my mom to hang up when the door opened. Everyone yelled "Surprise!" and then turned to stare at me. FML
Aujourd'hui, vacances sur une île paradisiaque. Soleil, mer, etc. On ne m'avait pas parlé des mille-pattes géants dans les baskets, des lézards transparents au plafond dans la chambre, ni des mygales dans les recoins. VDM
Aujourd'hui, j’ai vu mon père écraser une araignée sur le mur de la cuisine avec une spatule, spatule qu’il a ensuite plongée dans les pâtes pour les remuer. Je n’ai plus faim. VDM

Aujourd'hui, examen de six heures en philosophie. Les dix premières minutes, une fille assise au premier rang a eu le hoquet, ce qui a fait sourire toute la salle. Elle l'a gardé pendant les six heures, sans interruption. VDM
Aujourd'hui, j'ai été prise d'une diarrhée fulgurante sur l'autoroute. Je n'ai pas pu m'arrêter à temps. VDM
Aujourd'hui, ça fait un mois que nous avons accueilli une jeune stagiaire québécoise. Certains collègues imitent (mal) son accent très prononcé, d'autres la surnomment Céline. Au début elle faisait semblant de trouver ça amusant, mais au bout d'un mois elle n'en peut plus. Elle n'ose plus ouvrir la bouche. Plus que 3 mois de calvaire. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je dois prendre une nana en covoiturage. Au point de rendez-vous, je récupère donc une nana et commence à partir. La conversation engagée, je me rends compte de mon erreur : je n'ai pas pris une covoitureuse qui part en week-end mais une personne qui travaillait au bord de la route. VDM
Aujourd'hui, avec ma femme très radine, nous parlons d'avoir un enfant. Elle veut viser pour qu'il naisse en période de soldes pour ses prochains anniversaires. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je suis malade depuis hier, avec plus de 38 de fièvre, et mon fils part en voyage scolaire. Je devais l'amener à 6h du matin pour prendre le car, sauf que fatiguée depuis la veille, je n'ai pas mis le réveil pour le bon jour. À 6h20 j'entends toquer à la porte. Son copain était devant, avec le car scolaire. VDM
Aujourd'hui, ma femme me demande où sont les clés de la maison. Je lui dis qu'elle les a sûrement, car je ne les ai pas. Elle hurle, disant qu'elle a vérifié partout. Je décide de rentrer par une fenêtre entrouverte et ouvre. Ne trouvant toujours pas les clés, je m’inquiète. Elle m'appelle pour me dire qu'en fait elle avait les deux jeux. VDM
Aujourd'hui, et depuis toujours, je rêvais de faire du parachutisme mais j'étais en surpoids. Puis je suis tombée malade, j'ai perdu 40 kilos, et j'aurais pu en faire… mais finalement non, ce sont les problèmes osseux apparus avec la maladie qui m'en empêchent maintenant. VDM
Aujourd'hui, ma belle-mère apporte le gâteau pour fêter l'anniversaire groupé de plusieurs membres de la famille. Elle fait le tour de la table en citant le nom de chaque personne, sauf moi, pourtant sur ledit gâteau. "Un oubli…" d'après mon conjoint. Elle a répété son petit manège quatre fois. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je vois mon médecin, fière d'avoir perdu 15 kilos en très peu de temps. Le médecin trouve ça suspect, me fait faire une prise de sang de contrôle. Résultat, la perte de poids est due à un diabète +++ avec une hospitalisation à la clé. VDM
Aujourd'hui, ma pote m'a demandé mon prénom. On se connaît depuis un an. VDM
Today, I was listening to music while wearing my headphones on campus. A song I really liked came on, and after a while, I started doing air guitar along to it. I was soon accosted by campus security. Apparently, air guitar looks like jerking off from really far away. FML
Today, I joined a Zoom call late and accidentally unmuted myself while yelling at my kids to stop fighting. I didn't realize I was unmuted until I saw my manager's horrified face and the rest of the team trying not to laugh. FML
Today, I found out that I bought a house next door to crazy people. She asked me if I would mind not showering when her husband is at home, because he can hear me and knowing I’m naked on the other side of the wall turns him on, which is a nuisance for her. He’s unemployed. He’s always at home, the creep. FML
Today, my son announced he was leaving our religion. I told him that, as sad I was, that I accepted and loved him. He seemed disappointed, and I noticed him discreetly fiddling with a camera. A little snooping led me to his Reddit account, where he called us all, "inbred, illiterate, bible-thumpers." FML
Today, I was boiling pasta and tasting it every now and then too see if it was done. As an afterthought, I threw in some lentil pasta as well. Only after tasting a few more times did I notice the maggots that were now slowly rising in the boiling water. I didn't expect that much protein in those lentils. FML
Today, my boyfriend posted pictures of him at the bar last night with his ex. And ones of them in her bed this morning. I guess we're sleeping with other people? FML
Today, a woman came through my drive-thru and ordered a latte, but the bank had closed off her cards and she was short 30 cents in cash. I felt bad, so I paid for her. When I went home, I told my dad what I did, thinking he'd be proud of how he raised me but no, he said I'd wasted my money, and made me feel bad about it. FML
Today, I had three days off work. My mom woke me up for work on all three of those days, despite my repeatedly asking her not to. When I actually had to go to work this morning, she didn't wake me up. At least I wasn't late. FML
Today, while my husband and I were cleaning out a closet, he went outside to throw out some trash. He was taking a long time to return and I went to make sure he was OK. He was in the living room watching TV instead of helping me. FML
Today, my boyfriend met my brother. They're both over 6 foot, and big. They glared at each other like they were about to start a fight, then out of nowhere shook hands, hugged while laughing like lunatics, and have been besties all afternoon. Why are gym bros such weird idiots? FML
Today, I finally stood up to my mom and told her that as an introvert I desperately need some time alone to just recover. She, being the bitch queen of the extroverts, translated this in her head to, “I hate this family”, so she screamed at me, called me ungrateful, and made me homeless. FML
Today, I have such chronic back pain that I can usually never get comfortable, but I found the perfect position to lie in bed, and was nearly 100% pain free. I felt so good. Someone knocked on the door, so I had to answer it. They'd got the wrong house number. I couldn’t find that perfect position again. FML
Today, my boyfriend ran accidentally head-first into my face and left me with a giant black eye. My mother is convinced I had a seizure in a park somewhere and won't listen when I tell her she's wrong, and everyone else thinks my boyfriend is abusive. FML
Today, my ex-husband’s new girlfriend stopped by the pharmacy I work at, checked out at my lane, and had me ring up her condoms. She kept bragging about how she’s gonna have “nasty freaky sex” with my ex all night long while I work at a “miserable pharmacy.” I burst into tears while she laughed and waltzed away. FML
